Restarting WW after a baby and year break

  • I had lost 40 pounds doing Weight Watchers at home by myself before I got pregnant and gained it all back plus some. I just restarted 3 weeks ago and am already 10 pounds down or so. I can't remember the exact start weight and forgot to write it down. But I don't want to go to meetings but having some support or a buddy to keep me on track would be great.
  • Welcome back! Congrats on the birth of your child. If you have to have a reason to gain, that is a good one!

Congrats on already dropping 10lbs! You are well on your way.

I think you will find lots of support. Please be sure to post on the weekly weigh in!

    Best of luck to you!
  • Like you, I lost quite a but if weight with WW@H and then became preggers. After delivery, I didn't do WW b/c my baby had severe food allergies, and already had a restricted diet. (to nurse). Anyway, got preggers again at 8 weeks postpartum and now my "baby" is almost 8 months, the middle is 19 months.

anyway, sounds like we're in this boat together. Good luck.
  • and good luck!
  • Decided to stop make a couple changes
I have decided to change a few things I have been doing. I can't stop weighing myself everyday. If almost compulsive but I am only counting my weight on Monday morning. Its interesting to see the fluctuations all week but not something to stress about. I also quit drinking Caffeine on Monday. I had a wicked headache for two days but I never drank a ton of Caffeine so I'm done with the withdrawl already. Instead of Caffeine in the morning I do my WATP video first thing before the baby wakes up. Seems to wake me up even better than Caffeine.
  • Wow, how familiar... I started back around the same time you did, with a very similiar story. I lost just over 60 lbs the first time, got pregnant & gained it all back plus a little. I nursed him, and it took me awhile to feel ready to get back into the swing of things, (baby is 15 months) and right now I'm still struggling. I so want to be where I was before where it seemed I was on a roll. But you know, I'm not quite 10 down and I may not be on a roll, but at least I'm ROLLING... And I keep thinking, thank goodness I'd lost that weight before I started. It may be depressing to be a little over that original mark, but how depressing would it have been to be 60 over it?! You'll do great. You know what to do, know it works for you. Good luck!
  • My baby is 15 months old now also. I really need the energy now to make sure I can keep up with him. He started walking a couple weeks ago and just keeps getting faster.
