Grilled carrots

  • I had the best carrots tonight. Very simple, too. I let a small bag of baby carrots dry out pretty thoroughly (they were soaking wet to start) after getting off the worst of it with a paper towel. Wrapped them up in a double layer of aluminum foil with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and some kosher salt. Poked a few holes with a fork, and tossed them on the grill until they were tender while the steaks were cooking. Took about 60 s of work, house stayed cool, and virtually no cleanup. Plus they were fantastic--DD even ate them!

  • I'm always looking for new things to put on the grill. When it gets warm here again I'll have to give these a try.
  • Yum!! I love cooked carrots and love using the grill too! I will have to try these. Thanks for sharing!
  • I do a lot of grilling also, I'll have to give it a try. Thanks Anne

Paula, you must be a red hatter. What chapter are you with? Ever on the QMB?
  • Sharon- Yes I am a Red Hatter. I'm the queen of the "Wadsworth Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" in Ohio.
I used to post and red the QMB's, but there was so much fighting I just quit.
You must be a Red Hatter too since you asked about it. What is your chapter?
  • Hi Queen Paula,
I'm Queen of the Wayne Ladies With Hattitude. I don't usually post on the QMB but I read it a lot. A couple of weeks ago we hosted a luncheon for 200 red hatters from 19 different chapters, Full Moon Mama posted pictures on the QMB, so I did post a thank you to her on the QMB but that is about it. We have a Michigan web page and I do post a lot on it.
The entertainment for our luncheon was from Ohio, a mucisal comedy duo named "The Hoffenheimer Sister". A great act if you're ever looking for entertainmanet for a event.

I'd be interesting in hearing more about your chapter and your activities if you'ld like to send me a PM. Maybe even a sister chapter or something.

    Happy Hatting!!
