  • I don't know if a list already exists, but is there a list somewhere where grocery store prepared foods are listed with points?

If there isn't - what is everyone's favorite food items to buy at the grocery store?

I like the 2% Kraft sliced cheese (and shredded cheeses that are 2% too) - I gave up on the fat free ones. Just didn't like the taste.

I love Boco burgers. (Put them on 2 slice/1 point bread, with mustard, and some pickle stackers - yum!).

Look forward to hearing from everyone!

    Thanks and happy pointing!

    Cheree
  • I just found these... and i love them... the 2% Mozzarella slices.. wow they are incredible!

also, lauras lean ground beef.. 4pts for 1/4lb makes a yummy burger on a 1pt bun!
  • For those of you who don't mind NutraSweet, I think this is fairly new, but I purchased the Smuckers brand Light/Sugar Free Red Raspberry Preserves and it is very good (I think they have other flavors too).

    It is for 1 Tbsp:
    10 calories; 0 g Fat; 0 g Fiber

Does anyone know any one point English Muffins?

    Thanks!

    Cheree
  • In NY we can buy King Kullen brand or American Choice brand which are both one point English Muffins. I like them with a poached egg on one half and I Can't Believe It's NOt Butter Lite
on the other half. I hope you can find some where you live.
  • I love the skinny cow ice cream sandwiches. They are only 2 points, but they don't taste artificial. They remind me of the ones I used to eat when I was a kid; where the cookie part sticks to your fingers. Yum!!!
  • Cheree - I know country kitchen has an english muffin for 1pt (or is it 2? - no I believe its just 1pt for the whole thing). Its not bad - but I don't go crazy looking for them. They don't have the nooks and crannies like Thomas' does! They are in a clear package and they are standing up (like bagels) the label is blue. Good luck!

  • Oh yeah - I forgot to add my grocery store list:

    string cheese - 2-3pts each
fat free chocolate pudding - 2pts (and it counts as milk too!)
2% cheese slices (for grilled cheese!)
brummel and brown margarine - YUM!
    snackwell chocolate chip cookies (mini)

There are more - but I am drawing a blank!

  • Hello!

I am currently working on sprucing up the WW forums along with Jennifer and Suzanne and I am trying to put together a grocery store points list that will be posted here- Cheree, you must have read my mind

I like the list you have started so if you could keep your suggestions on grocery store foods coming I can add them to the list for the forum.

    Thanks for your help everyone!

Oh ya...here are a few of my favorites....Laughing cow cheese (light), Jello fat free chocolate puddings, lower salt Triscuits, Source brand sugar free - fat free yogurt (1 pt per serving!), Renee's Naturally light salad dressings....
  • There is currently a web site that has many food points listed, as well as fast food places not listed in the Dining Out companion. The website is www.dwlz.com. I have found this site very useful when planning to eat. I have also purchased thw new Weight Watchers bread. The wheat is very good and two slices for one point. I am starting Weight Watchers again after taking a pause for medical reasons. I hope that this helps.
  • Yeah, loves dotti's list - the only problem is I can't most of those things up here in Canada.....hmmm...maybe I can do some research up here and combine it with you American chicks down there and we can get a nice cross section going!

Do any of you get the "Presiden't Choice" line of products in the U.S.?
  • Canadian Shopping

Any of the Healthy low fat soups out there.....Campbells, Primo - most are 3-4 points for the whole can and they are very filling
Any of the BLUE president's choice healthy line - for those canadians out there. The cereals are incredible!! (1-2 points per serving) The dinners are delicious (Between 3 - 5 points) and the crackers are 1 point per serving
Meringue nests - 1 point each, they are big and feel like I am eating a big cookie!
Calorie reduced hot chocolate - 1 point per pack
NO FRILL low fat bran muffins - 2 points each and so filling!
I make a lot of salads and buy alot of fruit.

  • That was a really great site... thanks for the info
  • Watch out for the Skinny Cow ice cream sandwiches. If you purchase the 'new' packaged ones, they are now 3 points instead of 2. The company must have changed some of the ingredients.
  • The No Pudge ice cream products are really good. Their Giant Strawberry Shortcake bars and Cookies and Creme cones are 2 pts each and taste like real ice cream. Breyer's CalSmart ice cream is sweetened with Splenda and is only 1 pt for a half cup. I've only had the Vanilla flavor, which is like their vanilla bean. It's really good. I like the 100-calorie packs (2 pts) and Kashi cereal bars (2 pts).
