I'm not going to wait for a flat stomach

  • I'm going to get my belly button pierced this weekend even though I still have chub on my belly!
  • GO FOR IT! You've made significant distance in your weight-loss plan, it would seem from your stats, so treat yourself!

Actually, that's not a bad idea to get it early...and use new studs/hoops as rewards for further goals, hehe...

It's my reward for reaching my goal weight...my partner has been after me to get one since before we were even a couple, and I've wanted one ever since I was a teenager...so, I will live vicariously through you until my turn comes!
  • Thanks!

And yes, I have made progress. Not much recently, I've been in a holding pattern, but I haven't been actively trying to lose weight, just maintain where I am for now, and then to lose more later. I guess that is progress as well.
  • You go girl! At only ten lbs away from goal, you must be looking pretty good even if you do still have some chub on your belly (don't we all!)

It's a good thing I got my ears pierced when I was a kid because now I don't think I'd have the courage.
  • I wish I could have my belly button pierced, but three babies later...and let's just say that is what I would call history...(stretched history) But don't wait do it now!!!
  • You go girl!

However, you do have to be extra careful. Cover the fresh piercing with a bandage when you work out. I've had friends who have gotten irritations or infections from all the sweat and gunk that gets poured in there, the bandage just keeps things a bit tidier...plus, it prevents the risk of someone (something) getting caught on it. Also, go easy on the ab work for a few months until the hole heals!

    You rebel, you!
  • Welcome to the trailer-hitch club

I just got mine done almost two weeks ago. It's a scary brave thing to do - but nowhere near as hard as the work you've done to get here.

I also second the exercise-sweat warning - mine is still irritated and painful from sweating it out last week

My thread on it is here http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/showthread.php?t=108598
  • Kelema: Thanks for the tips!

Cardiomonster: yes, I saw your thread. It helped to inspire me.
  • I did it! It's a little red and a more than a little sore, but I like it!!
