My news

  • Weigh in last night -3.0 lbs. -58.25 a little more than 1/2 way there!
Tried Aqua fit as our program, what a blast!!! I am going to go again on Thurs, if I don't give in to Survivor fever.
Finally found my portable CD player for my workouts, it was lost in the dark murky depths of my 18 yr olds room. As an act of contrition he loaned me an awesome workout CD, Jock Jams 2.
Made it to 65 min on the treadmill today, music made all the difference. Whammed through my upper body workout to an old Arrowsmith CD.
Note to myself, get some new music.
My hubby gave me the best backwards compliment ever, he said slow down, I only have normal fat to lose now. Gosh I love that man o'mine. I guess this makes me a normally fat, middle-aged housewife. For some reason, I find that incredibly exciting! Must be that journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step stuff.
On a completely different subject, I have some good recipes if anybody is interested.
Work out tip for the day- Even though you are all alone in the house, wear a bra on the treadmill.

Must motor, my youngest has to practice spelling.

Go confidently in the way of your dreams.

  • Made this yesterday, and it was excellent.

I make my meals seperate as the rest of my my family are addicted to my old style cooking. They are slowly coming around.

1 small chicken breast thinly sliced
    handful of shrimp
    1 cup brown mushrooms
    handful of peapods
    1 cup cooked spaggetti
1/4 can reduced fat cream of chicken soup
    garlic powder
    seasoning salt
    fresh pepper

Pre heat teflon wok to the water dance point. Toss in chicken breast and liberally sprinkle it with garlic powder, seasoning salt, and a couple of grinds of fresh pepper. Stir fry until cooked. If the chicken starts to stick add a bit of water. Add shrimp and mushrooms and drop the heat a little. Once the mushrooms and shrimp are cooked through add the peapods. When they have turned a bright green add the spaggetti and soup. Stir well and add enough water to make an Alfredo-like consistancy to the sauce. Turn out onto a plate and enjoy.
