Hello from Turkey! need motivation here.

  • I'm an 18 year-old girl, and i recently started to dislike my looks, as i've gradually reached 165 lbs. the problem with me is, i'm soo lazy I don't like moving at all and i like sleeping so much, i sleep approximately ten hours a day. i've never really been on a decent diet, i just say "i'll start eating healthy foods this monday" and that monday never comes. Well, i'll just try to eat less i just can't imagine myself going on a well planned diet. Instead, i hope i'll make friends here that needs motivation to get up and do some exercise!

    I must say, this is my very first post in this forum, and i feel relieved already. It's so good to know that i'm not the only one.

    You just sound like a typical teenager to be honest - sleeping and lounging around, sounds awfully familiar! However, you have taken the first step by recognising that you may not be leading the healthiest lifestyle and by planning doing something about it. I sure wish I'd done something about it at your age - it just gets harder the longer you leave it.

    I've don't know about your circumstances but I'm pretty sure that there's a college forum or thread somewhere on the board and you could check out the 20s forum - you're nearly there. Anyway, welcome and good luck.
