I'm not new to message boards, however I am new to The South Beach Diet. I bought the book the day after I found out i'm prediabetic/insulin resistant. I knew I was, but seeing the proof on paper i'm hoping will be that extra kick in the rear I need to keep motivated. I have hated the way I look for a long time now and its time to get serious.
I'm Jackie, Mom to five wonderful boys ages 17,15,10,4 and a soon to be 2yr old. Married to Bob now for what will be 17yrs in May. I would like to lose around 60lbs, but even 50 would put me where I should be. I was always a slender person who never had to worry about what I ate. I never needed to exercise. Well, my 30's hit and that all changed.. so here I am
