Has anyone else out there Joined WW today - March 10th?

  • Hi,

I just got home from joining WW (yet again). I tell you I kept rolling over in bed and almost didn't do it. So here I am all equipped (yet again) with all the booklets, support (3FC rocks!).

I have no idea what I weigh (strong suspicion lololol) but my points are 29. I have not set a big goal. 5 pounds! That's all I'm asking of myself for now because if I look to far down the road......oh it's much too much to handle.
As for the exercise part.......well there are many options, but again I've chosen to be active on my only 3 times a week for now.....on my days off plus one day during my work week.

I have also promised to leave my wallet at home, no cash, no cards....I'll bring enough money for a cup of tea/coffee.......exact change!!!

I have two big challenges.......Writing it down and drinking the water........that will be the hardest for me.

So if anyone joined today and is looking to team up together and form a strong force of determination and support hey let's put a group together. I have no idea how we form one, but we could!!!

    Have a good week

  • I didn't join today, I joined two weeks ago, but congratulations!!! Getting there is the hardest part. (corny I know). I have the same problem with looking at the big picture and freaking out, and I also have the problem with the water and the writing of stuff down. In my diet twisted mind, I feel that if I don't write it down I can ignore it! Haha, of course, that is not true. Good luck though!!! I've joined 6 or 7 times myself :-)
  • I think that the water must replace the urge to put food in your mouth all the time and keeps you occupied by thinking of how much water you need to drink throughout the day instead of what you can't wait to eat when you get off work, for example. I started yesterday and have been really good so far, which is really amazing me. I have had an ongoing conversation with myself about why I am hungry or wanting to eat when I tell myself I am hungry or wanting something to eat. It has actually kept me from eating a couple times.

I am also writing down everything I am eating too. It makes you really value everything you eat because of limited calories. I think this is all going to workout.

I have never joined or tried WW before but I can imagine that it is much like what I'm doing: logging calories/diet journaling and working out. With weekly weigh-ins.

    I love these

Good luck to both of you and hopefully we'll all be successful whatever way we do it!!!
  • I've been at it for a little over 2 weeks now and am doing great. I think the exercise is key for me. My biggest challenge is the journaling. I get too busy and forget to write things down...then I don't remember how many pts I have left for the day. Argh...must do better with that.

I've got a long way to go and get overwhelmed when I think about it...but it makes me jump for joy to see the pounds already melting away!

    We can do this!

My biggest challenge is the exercise since I'm a single mom and we just got a foot of SNOW! But I feel great so far, I can feel my energy come back as well. I was skepticle to start WW (again) since I had lost 80 a couple years ago on South Beach and felt that it was the only plan for me. However, now I know that's it's somewhat impossible to keep it off when you fall off the wagon...45 pounds later, I'm back OP. I do much better during the week when I have scheduled my little meals. I find that planning my day point-wise the night before helps immensely. Also packing my lunches and snacks is not only less expensive, but also less tempting.

So good luck to all of us, I'd be interested in keeping up with our weight loss over time and was also wondering if anyone has cnsidered the Wendie plan for down the road???

    Good Luck to ALL!
  • Way to go for re-joining. I'm a professional rejoiner ha ha. I don't remember what time was the charm for me - but now I'm working on getting back to goal and I'm almost there.

The best advice I can pass along to you is - Stay In The Game! No matter if you have a good week, bad week or what - Keep going to the meetings and stay in the game.

GOOD LUCK TO YA! - YOU CAN DO IT!
  • Please allow me to introduce myself...
Hi all! I joined 3FC a while back and haven't kept up with posting or even visiting But I'm back and really need to keep my head OP. I have a tendency to start strong, make a couple of mistakes and give up.

I joined WW at work and we just finished a session where I lost 14 lbs. We start new on Tues. w/22 members. It's great to have ppl you work with for support, but once I get home and it starts to get dark... look out! because i'm eatin everything! lol!

I know I'm a volume eater and as I said, the evening is my bad time. It's really strange...as long as it's light out, I don't mind preparing meals and cooking and spending time in the kitchen doing prep work. But once it's dark, I want quick and easy. If I can't pop it in the microwave or have throw it on a plate, I pass it by. I can be really creative in the kitchen, I'm just lazy I guess. So when I do prepare meals for the week, it has to be on the weekend. If the weekend is particularly busy, I'm in trouble, cause I won't do it when I get home from work tired.

Also, being single, it's difficult to eat the right foods and not break a budget. I plan, but I plan too much and end up throwing food out or just getting sick of it before I can eat it all. So I guess I'm looking for ideas and support to stick with it and not say $#*! it at night...which is what gets me in trouble...lol!

At least the weather is warming up and salads are looking better (just can't do it in cold weather)!

Anyway, I'll shut up now! I may need pushing to keep up with journaling, but I'm really gonna try! Thanks for listening!
