Hi I'm New (also from MN)

  • I don't know what to say. I have been over over weight for about 23 years ( wow my oldest is 22) I have tried several diets and always gain it back and more. Now that getting older my body doesn't want to do the things I want it to,(everyday things like bending , kneeling walking distances etc.) I did a life style change in my eating and exercise habits. I believe a support group like this may help keep me from quitting and gaining again.
  • Hello and Welcome to 3FC!!!

    Congrats on the 10lb loss!!!!
  • YES! You can do it!
    Hi canidoit!

My answer to you is YES! You can do this!

You have already started! TEN POUNDS LOST! Do you realize that is 35,000 calories of fat...G-O-N-E?!!!! Woo Hoo!

I recently lost ten VERY STUBBORN pounds, so I KNOW how great that can be! Yesterday I picked up one of my ten pound weights and carried it around for awhile. It got exhausting after awhile, not to mention that I kept moving it from one hand to another so my arm didn't start to ache! I thought to myself, "You carried 76 extra pounds plus a lot MORE than that for over TWENTY YEARS! No wonder you were always tired!"

I began to really feel a difference in my energy level after I had lost about 15 pounds. You will, too! Are you walking? I found walking to be the very best thing especially as I started out my journey. SEVEN YEARS later I still enjoy walking! It's cheap and it's EFFECTIVE!

Good Luck! Hope you'll enjoy reading all the great posts!
