Hey everyone, I have a question. A few months ago I went to the Dr. because I was having some spotting in between my cycles. (we have since figured out why this was happening and it was due to another medication that I am on) She did a LH, FSH, Glucose, and Insulin test to rule out polycystic ovaries. Everything came back normal except for the insulin level. It was 26. So she told me I have insulin resistance. I have done some research and found that a normal insulin level is between 0-20. What I'm confused about is that I had eaten before my doctors appt that day. My doctor did not tell me she was going to draw these labs, and I did tell her I had eaten that day. Do you think that could be why my insulin was too high? Or do you think its too high even with eating? I cant seem to find a normal level anywhere for a non-fasting insulin level... please help!
