Almost There!

  • I haven't been on here in awhile... I guess because I have been trying to avoid thinking about my weight or the prospect of trying to lose again after the baby arrives. I have been fortunate though, I am at nearly 35 weeks and have gained only 16lbs without much effort to prevent gaining. My eating has gotten kind of shabby the last couple of weeks and now, I have crippling heartburn that no antacid can tackle, and so the few things I do feel like eating aren't very healthy for me (or baby) . It will be over soon though!

Just thought I'd check in, it's great to hear how everyone is doing! I am going to be heading down to stay with my family in 1 week (I live 2.5 hours north of them) and staying there til the baby is born. My last was born at 36 weeks and with only 4 months between that pregnancy and this one, it's very likely I will go early again. That's ok... as long as I have a HEALTHY baby, I don't care when she comes out!

Oh and we finally (like just a few days ago) decided on a name - Penelope Molly. Aaaah, what a relief!
  • Let us know when she arrives!
  • You're so close! It goes by fast, doesn't it?

I love, love, love the name Penelope. It's one of my favorites!

Best of luck to your for delivery and recovery. I hope everything goes well and can't wait to read your birth story
  • Good Luck! Not too long now.
  • joyofsix and aphil, where in IN are you? I'm in Bloomington (husband works for IU).
  • I live in Shelby County, near Indy. I am in Bloomington from time to time, for belly dance related events. I have performed at...I think it is called Waldron???
  • I'm about 30 mi south of Ft Wayne off 69. Used to live in Indy though.
  • I lived in the Fort Wayne area up until last year-in Whitley County. Do you live near Huntington?
  • Wow, small world. I live in Huntington County, way out at the southern tip. I have friends who live in Churabusco in Whitley Co.
  • The southern tip of Huntington County is near where I grew up. My grandfather lives in Van Buren, and I grew up in Grant County. My family is still there in the Sweetser and Marion areas.
