B&J's lowfat yogurt ROCKS!

  • I discovered Ben and Jerry's lowfat frozen yogurts and they are so good. I bought the Cherry Garcia and the Chocolate Brownie and they are awesome!! 1/2 a cup of Cherry is 2.5g of fat and the Brownie is 3g of fat. I had a 1/4 cup of each after dinner and they were just as good as regular ice cream.

Just wanted to let everyone know therer is a little pleasure out there without feeling guilty about it.

What are your low fat pleasures???
  • Oh I love the B & J Half-Baked frozen yogurt. I can't buy it very often though cause I tend to want to eat more than the 1/2 cup serving. So very tasty though!!

I have been treating myself with fudgsicles lately... yum!
  • The Walmart in our area has started selling very tiny B&J cartons. They're 1, 1.5, or 2 servings, I can't remember. My husband bought home one for each of us a couple months ago. He brought home the premium version (naughty, but at least portion-controlled), but said they had "diet" too (which he is phobic of), so I don't know if it was a light ice cream or a yoghurt, but it would be worth looking into.
  • Ah, that'd be too tempting... Look Jaime, low-fat CHOCOLATE. EAT IT ALL.

What I do allow myself, though, is the occasional soft-serve from the B&J store nearby (we're talking really occasional), or the occasional pint of lemon and raspberry sorbet (naturally ff... and the lemon is so tart I can't eat much of it at once.). That's how I try to appease the ice cream monster in my head
  • I like to make my own sorbet with just frozen strawberries and a splash of diet sprite, dietmountain dew, or lemon juice and a little artificial sweetener. I just process it in the food processor - instant sorbet. And if I a add a little extra diet soda - instant virgian strawberry daquiri.
  • Hey, that's a really great idea! I still have bags of frozen fruit in the freezer.... Hmm.... might have to do that some evening
