    I feel like shouting from the roof tops, I've lost 30 pounds!! It took a long long time, but my body is finally settling into something thats really working I cannot believe I've actually lost 30 pounds!!!!! Anyways, I just had to share!

    Aimee, Congratulations! That is awesome!

    May I ask you a question? Your name is "Swimgirl?" Do you swim for exercise? One of my goals for this year is to be able to swim 50 laps. (at one time, of course!) I made some calls today and found a club that has an adult strokes class on Mondays and Thursdays. The class teaches how to build stamina and swim laps while improving or learning the different kinds of strokes. I'm not a member of the club, so I was concerned about price. But, the price is very reasonable....$45.00 a month. I'm definitely going to look into this. The coach allows 10 people in the class at one time....I really hope I can get in!

    Oh Aimee I am so unbelivably happy for you!!!! You sound ecstatic as well you should be. That is a HIGE accomplishment. WAY TO GO!!!! May you have many more successes and ecstatic days in your future. Your near future that is. Congrats!!!!

    Thank you everyone! It's been a lot of hard work, and I've been SO committed, resisted so many temptations! I'm just in awe still... 30 pounds.. wow.

    Rhonda - I grew up basically in the pool, took syncronized swimming, some diving, and then fell in love with speed swimming. I used to spend 3 hours a day in the pool, and love love the water. I would say definitely take a class, you can learn a LOT. 50 laps at 25 meters a piece is doable, just get out there and keep plugging away.
