Hey everyone,
I am trying to get through Wave 1 ... Have lost about 3 pounds in the past 2 weeks.
I did Sonoma last spring when I was out of work and was really happy with the results. I loved the food, never really felt like I was "dieting." Only lost about 20 pounds, but was working out a lot so I dropped several sizes. What the scale says is less important to me than how I feel and fit into my clothes.
Started a new job right about the time I injured myself (stress fracture to the foot). The doctor said "no exercise" until it was completely healed -- four months later. I had been training for a sprint triathlon and became very depressed when I couldn't work out, and my eating went out of control. Plus, at the new job I faced all sorts of temptations I never did at home -- donuts and pastries several times a week, an always-full chocolate jar, employer-paid lunches out, wine and cheese parties after work. Was great fun, but I gained back pretty much all the weight I lost.
So here I am, unable to fit into the new clothes I purchased when I started the new job. I hate the way I feel and know I need to eat better to change that, but I'm having a hard time making it through the weekends. I've started Wave 1 twice already and wonder if I should forget about Wave 1 and go directly to Wave 2? I know the weight loss will be slower, but it might be more do-able. On the other hand, I need to work on my self-discipline when it comes to certain foods and Wave 1 is supposed to help with that.
I do like the way I've felt the last couple of weeks. Feel more energetic and some of my fat rolls are shrinking.

I purchased the Sonoma Diet Cookbook and really look forward to trying some of those recipes. Right now, I'm going through the meal plans in the diet book that I purchased last year, though I find myself doing a lot of Sonoma Express Wraps for lunch because they're quick, easy, and yummy.
