Hey, does anyone happen to have the WW recipe for Tuna Chili? I remember my mom and I loved this stuff back in the "old days" (70's). Thanks! ~Kim in Utah
I found it!
Kim, I remember that recipe; it sounded strange, but it really was good! I searched thru my old boxes and found it:
Chili Tuna
1 lunch portion of water-packed tuna, drained
1 cup tomato juice
2 Tbsp chili powder*
1/2 cup celery, chopped
1/2 cup green pepper, chopped
1 cup bean sprouts
garlic powder to taste
Combine all ingredients except tuna in a saucepan and cook until thickened. Add tuna, stir, and heat.
My Notes: I had crossed out 2 Tbsp and put 1 Tbsp of chili powder. Guess I liked it milder. Also, a lunch serving of tuna was probably 4-6 oz, as the old plan was heavy on protein. I remember that the better, light chunk tuna worked best.
Regards,
Jan
Thanks for the effort Jan!
Thanks so much Jan, I appreciate your looking through your stuff for me! (((hugs)))-
