well, yesterday was interesting. i had a mild headache which i finally took something for before going to bed, but otherwise it was a good day and i stayed on plan. a couple of close calls that i nearly slipped up but i caught myself. i was making dinner and i had baked salmon while everyone else had crumbed fish and while preparing it there was a little bit of crumb on the tray and my immediate response was pick it up and put it in my mouth - but i caught myself in time. it was quite amazing how many times i had to catch myself like that. unconsious eating i call it.
i had scrambled eggs for breakfast and am going to have my morning tea soon of some frozen grapes. they really do help to curb my cravings.
jaime - apple in a curry? interesting. you make it sound delicious!
junebug - 10lbs down on last year is great! especially when you consider an average person increases their body weight by up to 7-10lbs each year.
jenny - welcome! try not to worry too much about the scale. if you can honestly tell yourself you did your best - that is all you can do. the scale will budge eventually. good luck!
sara - i was not much of an icecream person until just this summer - i can't get enough of them! nothing wrong with a treat now and then. besides, that healthy banana has to counteract the ice cream, right?
megan - excellent job on exercising while still at the conference. it is a terrible atmosphere sometimes and it just drinking and eating - but it sounds like you did great. well done!
tracy - hi!
cookie - you are right - planning is half the battle but it is the best way to try and stay on track.
stephie - you know the carb thing isn't so bad. still getting wholegrains (brown rice, oats, etc) but it is the cheese and dairy i am missing at the moment. i realised last night that nearly all of the snacks i wanted were dairy orientated. i hope you got your run in - it sounds like you need it as an outlet at the moment
lizzie - good girl, you can totally eat clean. just takes planning and dedication. one tip - don't be afraid to try new foods. i thought i would hate rice milk but it was surprisingly yummy!
phew! is that everyone? you gals have been busy!
