Does anyone know of a good FREE recipe calculator? I know there is one on the WW etools, something like that I'm thinking.

While it isn't free, I have found Mastercook Deluxe 9 to be an invaluable tool for me. I have entered all of our favorite recipes into this program. I keep a binder in the kitchen with the recipes printed and stored in sheet protectors. What I really like is that should I tweak the recipe by using some other ingredient (soy crumbles instead of 96% lean ground beef), I can open the recipe and make the changes and then find out the new nutritional value. (And I don't have to save the changes if I don't want to.)

I think the program can be found between $15 - $19 via the internet, although I've heard you shouldn't buy the downloadable version (buy the CD).

PS. There are a few Yahoo groups out there that have a lot of the WW cookbooks you can download that you can import into Mastercook.

the download of fitday has a way to do recipes for custom foods, and then you have it right there in your log

Thanks for all the suggestions. I'll have to check the fitday one for sure, as I do have the downloaded version, though I'm currently tracking on the free online version.

www.atetoday.com has a good recipe tool ('Add a Recipe' at the bottom) and once it's added you can put it into your daily food log like any other food, and even add recipes to other recipes! (Comes in handy for adding frosting recipes to a cake, or sauce recipes to a bigger dish)
