Need help with Activity Points

  • Hi everyone. I'm new, just registered on Thursday night. Yesterday was m day on plan.

This morning, I did the 20 minute 1-mile Walk Away the Pounds.
Its a start...and I'm not in good enough shape to try the 2-mile yet...but I'll get there. Anyway, how do I record that? Do I record that as 20 minutes walking?

Since I'm new to all this I wasn't sure. Plus today we are heading out and I will be doing about 2 hours of walking...much more than I am used to. Do I add that too or not??
  • Personally I don't add any activity points for other than traditional exercise. However many do count things like Mall Walking, house cleaning, etc.

For activity points you need to determine the intensity for you, time done and your current weight and use your Activity Calculator or Points Booster.

Here are some guidelines for intensity:

Low - you can talk and sing
Mod - you can talk but not sing
High - you need a deep breath to speak 1-3 words at a time (most of us never get to this level)

Additionally many count 1 point per mile for the WATPs but I don't think that is very accurate becuase everyone is at a different fitness level.
