Jan 12 the first day of the New Me

  • Hello Everyone

    I am new to 3 fat chicks. I have read a lot about the fat smash diet and I am very excited to start today, I have my food , but my biggest promblem for me is that I live with my boyfriend and he is very thin with the fasted metabolism I have ever seen and eats everything he wants, and never gains weight The worse part is that he is such a unhealthy eater and brings every bad food in the house. This is going to be such a hard battle, So any suggestions, tips, encouragement is welcome because I am hapy to start, but very scared I wont be able to stay on it, living with my boyfriend I really dont want be like this another year. so ladies thanks in advance and once again I am happy to be here. I am off to weigh myself and eat those boiled eggs.

    glad your here i know what you mean about the junk food. I have an 11 year old and i cant even pack her lunch any more because i want to take a bite of everything my 11 month old is constantly sharing her baby food only the fruit the veggies dont tast so good all mushy

  • Hey philly! Glad you are joining! I just joined a few days ago and just started the diet 5 days ago. So far so good. As long as you eat when you are supposed to and drink plenty of water, you will be fine. The 1st and 2nd day was the hardest to fight the cravings. It WILL get easier, you just have to stick with it. There are some great recipes on this site. Check them out. Good luck!

    I just started dieting 3 days ago. My boyfriend is exactly the same. He can eat anything he wants and not put an ounce on. My solution was to get him to do the diet with me. He knows I have no willpower, and that there's no way I can sit there watching him eat meat and carbs etc while I have to survive on veggies! If he wants a thinner girlfriend (which he's sensible enough to NEVER admit to) he must suffer as well. That said, the fat smash diet is actually really good, and he's way more into it so far than I am! He's probably a little bit TOO enthusiastic but if it works I'm not going to complain! Good luck!

    It was a good day yesterday, i didnt have much of a appetite i think I am coming down with a little cold. anyhoo I finally did get around to weighing myself and getting my start weight, i picked up some extra veggies from the market and was on my way wooohoo. today so far was good I did a 1 hr walk and had vegtables for lunch.

    Crackers - we will have to fight those cravings so we can get to our goal weight lol

    Sgregg-thanks for the advice and directing me to the page with the recipes it will come in handy .

    Cammi- great advice. I suggested to my boyfriend that he eats some of the things i eat and he was very supported, I have to just make sure he doesnt disappear lol

  • Way to go for surviving day one! Now, for day two..lol. You can do it. I'm glad your boyfriend is being supportive. That will really help.

    I told my boyfriend he had to eat his food elsewhere, either in the car on the way home or wherever so I wouldn't be tempted. Also I got rid of all the junk int he house. I told him if he needed it then he needed toe stash it somewhere in the house where I couldn't find it. We haven't had much trouble. If he is cooking something I can't have, I leave and go to the gym, go for wa walk or just go to the bedroom and watch tv. I can't turn it down if it is in front me so I don't put it in front of me any longer. I am sure you will do great. The first 3 days are definitely the hardest but my cravings are in check now and I am much better at tunring down food than I used to be. I put the 'before' picture of myself on the refrig which reminds me that I don't want to go back to being that person. Good luck. Lem

  • I have done good so far on the Fat Smash, but I am definitaly ready for phase 2. This is a long 9 days i tell ya, but it is working.
  • Hello ladies you guys are so supported and soooooo Funny. I am on day 3 and it is going pretty well. I like vegtables so that is not a promblem but not having meet is a killer.

    Lem- all I can say is that you are to funny lol lol lol lol I told my boyfriend to hide his snacks also, it is so funny you should see me looking for the chocolate at night when he is sleep lol lol lol but he has hid it pretty good so I just go to sleep

    Iamsum1sbratt- This is a long nine days but It will be so worth it when its over, I cant wait to see what I and you Cammi and Sgregg will have lost I am adding some working out also are you?

    Sgregg(Shauna) and Cammi How are you guys holding up and are you working out also?

    As a matter of fact is everyone working out if so what are you guys doing get back very curious.

    Ok I am on day three only 6 days to go. Oh yeah guys I have been walking a hour a day (4 miles) since I started. I was tired yesterday I didnt walk but today I walked for 2 hrs 8 miles Whewwwwwww Ok ladies keep up good work

  • Yes I am doing Basic Tae-bo. Before that I was doing the 8 minute Tae-bo. I started behaving with watching how I ate Jan 1st. I have been exercising back in Oct. It helps my fiance exercises with me. We do it atleast 4 days a week.. I must say tho I haven't excercised yet since I have been doing Fat Smash. It took some adjusting to my body to get used to this. I am back on track tonight and the rest of the week tho. Best of luck to us all!!!
  • I'm holding up okay. My brother lives with me and he bought some of those organic white cheddar cheeto puffs and i had a couple...oops..and I hate a couple of little tiny bites of cheddar cheese. Other than that, I'm good. He had chili dogs tonight and I wanted one sooo badly, but I'm fighting the cravings...it's so hard though. I'm making those roasted chickpeas in the recipe section....I hope they are good.

    Way to go, philly, for holding up! That's funny about you not finding the chocolate..lol.

    I've only got one more day of detox, although I should add a day for my little nick nacks today. I'll just up my exercise...oh, I'm riding a stationary bike. I change the resistance on it so I get a good workout.
