I'm just about 4 pounds away from my ultimate goal now--I'm down to 139 and a size 6 from 168 and a size 12. Compared to some of the amazing achievements I've seen around here, that's not all that impressive, but I'm excited about getting my blood pressure down and no longer being at such a high risk health-wise. I also quit smoking, so I'm breathing better and my skin has cleared up too. So I thought I'd post some face shots for comparison. The first one was taken last October, at my highest weight, and the second one was taken just a few weeks ago. This is the first time I've compared them side by side--I was surprised by the difference!

Thanks for all of your sweet responses . I'm actually thinking I might stick at my current weight now--I'm actively training for a 4-day backpacking trip and building a lot of muscle, so the scale is getting tricky. We'll see!

Wow - you look fabulous. As for the disclaimer you gave at the beginning, I for one am thrilled you posted your pics. I don't have a massive amount to lose either and it's easy to con yourself that a few pounds won't make much difference but your photos show that they really do.
