Yaaaaaaaaaay! I am Overweight!!

  • .. well considering that I was morbidly obese for as long as I can remember, being "overweight" is a major acheivement for me.. YES! It's official, my BMI is finally less than 30, and am happy, and wanted to share that with you

Hope you find this motivating, cuz I have come a long way in this weight loss thing, and if I can do it, anyone can!!

on your weight loss - you've come so far!
  • Congratulations !!!!!
  • That's awesome!
  • what a major accomplishment! and there are so many people out there who just won't understand what a wonderful thing you've done!

so, babe, hold your head high and be proud!!!
  • Me too
Hey Della--Doesn't it feel good? I just made that 29 BMI mark this last week also. It is hard to believe that since March 2006, I have accomplished that and went from a size 24-26 to a 10-12. I still feel guilty shopping in that section of a store--waiting for someone to tell me that the plus sizes are somewhere else.

I watched an awesome movie on Lifetime last night called "Fat like Me" where a teenager who was a popular jock put on a "fat suit" & went to another school to film a documentary on how people react to someone heavy vs. someone not, even though the personality didn't change. It brought forward some very real situations & thinking.
  • Thanks everyone

Loodie, looks like we've done the surgery at around the same time and had similar progress! I am only 5''1' so am still wearing size 12-14 AND just last week I was able to fit into a MEDIUM! I was happy with large and shopping at regular stores but this is just AMAZING and like you I am waiting for someone to tell me, no we've done a mistake you are not supposed to shop here!

I saw parts of that show, before she wore the suit, but yea I can totally relate to this..

Keep it up girl! and to everyone in different stages of weight loss, YOU WILL DO IT!!!
