Will WW Work for me? Please advise

  • I have been overweight most of my life. I am 32 and can't take much more. I lost 50 lbs a year an half ago watching my diet and exercising everyday. Well guess what they found me again.

So here is my question. I was on WW about 20 years ago. I liked the original plan. About 1.5 years ago I tried this point system and didn't like it. Now sometime last year I think I tried the core plan for like 2 days not what I thought it would be. Which would be closest to the original plan? Is the original plan available anywhere? I know it's only $15.00 to join, the money isn't the issue. I just don't want to start something and not follow through again. Any help or thoughts are appreciated. Luckily I have WW in my office building I only have to go down 19 floors so it's very convienent. Please help Thanks!
  • Don't quote me on this, but i think the old WW plan followed the Exchange Diet, didn't it? if so, there is still a lot of info around about that diet. just google. I may be wrong though, just going on what i have read here and there. hope this helps.
  • I just joined weight watchers and the registration is free during their current special. I also signed up for the monthly pass. It lets me go to the meetings and also access the etools online.
  • My suggestion is to go to the meetings and try it for a while. Especially if money isn't an issue. You don't have anything to lose (except weight ). I love the new points program. I've seen it work well for many people. IMHO you should give it another try. However if you're totally against counting points, you could also try searching for the exchange diet, or the Richard Simmons food mover system. They're kind of like the old WW.
  • Thanks for your input. I am going today at lunch. Worst case sceniro I don't like it and try another plan like you suggested. I won't know unless I try. Thanks for help
  • Anytime! Let us know how it goes!
