I've been thinking about joining a gym and I'm considering Curves. Do any of you go there and, if so, what do you think? It only takes 30 minutes to do the circuit, correct? How are their prices? Are they helpful there or are you on your own?
I'm interested in the answers about curves, too.
I Love Curves!!! Okay I’m going to ramble…
Its great for people who want to get in exercise and get out. There about 16 to 20 exercise machines in a circle. These machines don’t have weights they are all hydraulic resistance You work on each for about 30 seconds, the great thing is you don’t have to count a recorded voice comes on, over the music, and tells you to change. Between the machines there is a pad where you jog in place. Every ten minutes or so the voice asks you to stop and check your heart rate, there is a chart on the wall that you can see how you are doing. You are not alone, a Curves worker stands in the middle of the circle and chats to everyone and will also help you if needed. The work out is about 30 minutes and these 30 minutes includes the stretching you must do after the work out. The price I believe is going up to $35 a month from $30 (they haven’t changed their prices in like 12 years). When you sign up they measure and weigh you…and help you with your goals. Once a month you weigh in and measure. Its great because there are women of all sizes working out so you never have to feel self-conscious. Plus Curves is everywhere, so when you go on vacation you won’t be without a Curves.
In fact I would suggest going into a local one to check it out. (No I don’t work there I just love it so ^_^ …. Its soooo easy!!)
Hope my ramblings help
Thanks so much hereIcome!! That helped a lot!
I have wondered the same thing.. My biggiest problem is I am so self consicius about my looks and weight.. so maybe it is something I can/should look into!
Thanks for your feedback, 123hereIcome!
My mother did Curves for awhile and was very successful. I went in one day to see what it was about. Unfortunately I didn't join because I thought the whole process was very silly but I'm sure it's great for those who want something quick and structured.
