~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~TThis morning around 5AM, I took Ardie into the hospital. Before I go further, every thing is ok. She woke up with chest pain, rapid heart beat, and pain in her left side and jaw.
In a nutshell, she has atrial fibrilation. Hope I spelled it right. I would imagine you would know what that is, but I will tell you anyway. One part of her heart is not working well with the other part. Instead of pumping, it was fibrilating. There was no damage to the heart, and she is receiving meds to slow her heart rate down. She was peaking at 160 beats per minute. She is
now down around 100, and sometimes lower. They will give her a blood thinner(mild dose of rat poison), and will try to synch her heart with meds. If that doesn't work, they will shock it.
She is doing well, and wanted to let you know why she is not on the pc. If all goes well, she should be home sometime Wednesday. She said you could post this on the low carb board.
