Hey everyone! My name is Jennifer and I am new to the site. I gotta tell ya, I am soooo excited! I have been looking around the web for a place where I can get together with other LA members and for some reason, I haven't had a whole lotta luck! UNTIL NOW!!
Anywhooo........ I am one of those been-struggling-with-my-weight-forever people and I decided to join LA Weightloss because a friend of mine did and she looks great!
I had the last of four kids in 2004 and I just can't use the excuse of baby weight any more. BUT, I've been using my back surgery lately. UGHHH! I had a herniated disk removed at the beginning of August and I'm not quite out of the woods yet, but an extra 70 lbs sure does help things move along a bit faster, eh? So, here I am.
I actually joined LA a month before I had my back surgery and lost 12 lbs. The surgery threw my system for a loop and I was put on hold for about 10 weeks and I just started again the day before yesterday. When I weighed in I had gained 10 lbs back.
I am so looking forward to getting to know you all celebrating some successes together...............

Welcome Jennifer - this site is great! Stop by daily and you'll be at goal in no time! As an FYI, put "on LAWL" either in your signature line or somewhere in your avatar. We all have tried to do this to make sure we are getting advice, etc. from other LAWL members vs other 3FC members.

Sounds like you are a busy mom and the back surgery is some pretty serious stuff. But, you are right in realizing that the extra pounds don't help the back situation! Good luck. See you around on the Losers Thread!

Hi there Jennifer... Welcome to the circus... My wife is in the same boat as you, so you're in good company. She gained weight after a car crash and subsequent surgery two years ago, but is making slow and steady progress with LAWL, as am I!
