Yes, I fell (more like took a flying LEAP) off the WW wagon this holiday season. I don't know why I do this to myself, but it happens every single year!!!! Just show me the old childhood comfort Christmas tradition food of years gone by, and watch my self-control FLY out the window!!!!
Anyways, as I am SURE that I am not alone, this post is a quick booster shot to all of you out there (and a reminder to myself) that:
Weight gain isn't permanent!
We can DO IT!!!
Lets hang in there, get through the holiday season, and REFOCUS!!!

The trick is to eat it in moderation. Like my leader says, "Ask yourself - will this be here all year around like mashed potatoes, gravy, or whatever, or is it a once a year food?" If you answer is yes to once a year, plan on it, eat it in moderation and go forward." If you deny yourself, you risk throwing it all out the window. So when I got to a food that I absolutely couldn't bear to turn down, I ate a small bit of it. It was heavenly. Have I had a weight gain over this holiday? Yes, but not nearly the gain I would have had other years. It's okay. Just dust yourself off and go forward.
