Just getting the thread started so it's here when people are ready to post. I'll be back - probably tomorrow.
Merry Christmas.
Carla
I lost the 2 pounds I gained last week! I'm pretty happy with that considering all the cookies I've eaten the last two days...though I'm afraid they'll show up on the scale later. I plan to stay on track with exercise this week and though I'll indulge a bit tonight at my family's little gathering, the rest of the week should be fine.
I'll be out of town until New Year's Eve, so have a good week, everyone!!
Carla - Merry Christmas - I hope it was a joyous one!
Lisa - Congratulations on losing the 2 pounds you gained last week! That's quite an accomplishment this time of year. I'll bet if you stick with your plan of exercise and moderate indulgence, you'll do just fine. Have a safe trip!
I ended up doing OK on Christmas Eve at my my step-daughter's. There was a lot of fish, which I love and I tried to have just a taste of the things that were a bit naughty (like the yummy fried shrimp). I stuck to my plan of drinking mostly water, had only 1 glass of wine and washed a lot of dishes which kept me from grazing too much (it was buffet). I don't think I really deprived myself much or at all but when I got home that night - all "you know what" broke loose and I ended up opening (and almost finishing) a can of caramel popcorn that I had gotten as a gift from one of the kids. Ugh! Yesterday morning I got on the scale for a sneak peak and was horrified at the number (I know a lot of it was water retention because my rigns wouldn't budge) but it was a wake up call that enough is enough! We came out to the beach yesterday and as planned, friends of ours met us here. I made sure that for a little something before we went to dinner there were lots of veggies and a very low fat cheese spread (Alouette makes a light garlic and herb cheese spread that's yummy and not high in points). Although I did have a couple of glasses of wine last night, I had a good, basically core dinner (very lean pork chop), salad, and a taste of the desserts that the men ordered. It was great too because my friend does WW and got to goal about a month ago so it makes it easier to stay OP. Tonight we are probably going to go to dinner at a pub-kind of place since a number of the restaurants we thought we'd go to are still closed. I'm sure they have some kind of grilled fish - if not here than where - if not, I might go for a burger (if it's sirloin) without the bun and without the fries. In any case, I'm determined to get some activity in and eat as OP as possible. It's a bit windy so I don't know if I'll walk on the beach or just take a walk around the property. I doubt I'll lose the 1.6 I've gained over the last two weeks but I'm determined not to gain any more. It will be a bit of a challenge because we have a surprise birthday party at an Italian restaurant Thursday evening and are going to a friend's house on Friday.
Have a great one!

hey all! Im new on here and found this website by total mistake but im glad i did. I have been doing WW at home for 2 years now although all last year was an uphill struggle. I began my weight at 223 on 1-1-05 and was down to 154 by thanksgiving of 2005. I totally went off the diet thanksgiving day 2005 and it was a struggle ever since. Currently i am up to 185. YIKES!! i feel awful! Knowing how great i felt at 154 makes me really want to go back but i feel i have lost the will power. Maybe checking in on here will help me to be accountable again. I do love WW and feel it is very sensible. I have never been to a meeting before but know the program like the back of my hand. So - look forward to checking in here with you girls. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
