I participated in the Couch to 5K in 9 weeks running program before I began counting calories. While I was eventually able to run for 30 minutes straight, my speed never increased. Basically, I was walking really fast.
While I still walk on the treadmill, I stopped trying to run about the time I started on the diet. Now that the dieting is working, I would like to take up the running again. I am going to register for the Disney 5K which takes place in May 2007. You have to be able to run a 15 minute mile. I have four months to whip my body into shape.
That's my goal. How about you guys?
