  • So I have been meaning to tell you ladies about my new favorite salad........I marinate chicken breasts in Newmans low fat Asian Sesame salad dressing and a splash or two of soy sauce for a bit.....then I broil the chicken........then cut it into strips. I put my serving size of chicken on a bed of cripsy romaine lettuce and add fresh clementine sections (usually cut in half or thirds), and if I have enough room in my starch budget, I add a tiny bit of some sort of asian salad crispies (I cannot remember who makes them, but they are really yummy). I have also used a tablespoon of sunflower seeds, but I don't really know how to count them. If I use the seeds, I usually just use a smigen less chicken. I use regular Asian sesame dressing (I only use 1 tablespoon, and I count it as my fat as well as a condiment. I have found that I prefer to use regular dressing sometimes, but I use much less than the recommended serving size.........but I ALWAYS count it as my fat then.) You could easily use low fat dressing. But, you could also squeeze a little bit of orange on the salad, and you could really eat it without dressing. I know........sounds crazy, but it is really tasty that way. Anyway, with clementines in season right now........and oranges too..........it is a really delicious salad sprucer upper. I have made the same salad in the past with canned mandarian oranges.......but the fresh ones are SOOOO much tastier. This also kills your sweet need, which is great for we non lite eaters. Super yummy. You can totally eat this if you are doing fast forward with oranges as well. I pretty much lived on it during my last ff.
  • Nicole - Sounds Yummy! And I have some of that dressing at home. Will try that this week!

    My favorites:

    Veggie burgers

    Veggie chicken nuggets

    Veggie sausages

    Whole wheat pitas

Alternative Bagels (1S for the whole thing)

LaTortilla Factory tortillas (1S for the whole thing)

Laughing Cow Lite Cheese Wedges (1/2D) (spread in celery for a yummy snack)

Celery w/Salsa (The fresh stuff in the deli section, not the jarred stuff)

Louis Rich Quick Cuts Chicken - Has a little sodium in it, but it's great when you're on the run. The whole bag counts as 1P.

McDonald's Asian Salad w/grilled chicken (P,V,V) (You don't need dressing. Just cut up the chicken and put the lid back on and shake it up. The glaze on the chicken acts as a dressing)

McDonald's Fruit and Yogurt Parfait (D,Fr,C) (FYI... the granola packet only has 30 calories. I count it as a condiment and it's a great treat)

Tuna - 6oz tuna, 1T rf mayo, a little onion, Morton's Salt, Pepper, Garlic Powder, Paprika mixed together in the food processor so it's nice and smooth (P,Fa)

Stonyfield Farm FF plain yogurt w/ frozen berries & 1 pkt Splenda (D,Fr)

Tilapia w/horseradish and parmesan cheese (P,1/2D) (See recipe thread)

Taco Salad - 1 serving ground beef or turkey w/taco seasoning, 1-2oz rf cheddar cheese, 1 taco shell toasted and crumbled on top, 3c lettuce, 5 scallions, 9 black olives, 1 1/2T rf sour cream, 1 1/2T salsa (P,S,1/2 - 1D,V,V,Fa,C,C,C)
