Default Anyone else love tracking their numbers?

Now, I am not a qualified statistician or mathematician or anything like that, but sometimes it's fun to track the trends and what lot of all this work you put in while trying to make positive changes in your life.

In that regard, I spent a little time (weeeell...justthewholedaynobiggie) crafting a little dashboard/weight tracker for myself. I did the added bonus of a very non-glamorous update to my desktop. Just some text and numbers, since it's on my work computer and anyone could come across it at any time.

Some pics:

That's the big one, the Year to Date tracker. I love it <3. I also made one for monthly updates, and I'm a fan of that, too.

That's my quick and easy little desktop reminder, to be refreshed weekly.

What do you like to track? This is one of many of my goal check-in systems. How do you track your progress against your goals? I'm guessing it probably isn't as nerdy Excel driven as me, but I'd still love to learn about some other techniques!

That's so cool! I use excel and have put in some future trend analysis, but my excel skills clearly aren't as good as yours! I'd love to get my hands on the file you set up to personalise it for me. Wow well done.

I haven't added any trend analysis in, but that sounds like fun!

I'm hoping to add in some automation for certain tasks, but it's not there yet. Just a big ole table and a few excel charts for now.

I'd be happy to share I copy once I get home/to a computer (and if you happen to add in the info for trend analysis, definitely reshare )

I'll certainly try! Sounds like a fair swap

Anni,

I actually can't figure out how to direct message you to share the document. Any ideas?

Wow, that's impressive! I track my weight and some other measurements, and the app I use allows me to import the data into Excel so sometimes I'll make fun graphs. Haven't done it in a while but I loooove watching that weight line trend down

NNS,

Thanks! It's really just some fancy formatting, once you figure out exactly how Excel wants you to put in the data. What app do you use, though? It's always good to have options

And I'm with you on watching that line trickle down - and on seeing the little sliver of muscle weight creep up (and on the fat section coming down a bit, too ) - it's a lot of fun to watch. I think it gives you something to think about besides your non-immediate goal...mine is definitely a long, long ways away.

I use MetricMe. It's really good for tracking my strength routine, which is why I started using it, but I can also track body measurements and my cardio stuff. It's pretty basic but it's free and has worked well for me.

I like the sound of that and will check it out - I've still not found the right app for me for tracking my lifts. Thank you!
