Talking Another Newbie Introduction

Hello Everyone!

My name is Allison and I'm 27 years old. I live on the east coast with my wonderful boyfriend and little dog child. I'm working and am taking classes hoping to apply to a nursing progam next year. I've struggled with weight my whole life. Within the last decade I've been as high as 250lbs and as low as 155lbs, it's been a rollercoster!

I recently visited some family on the west coast for the holidays and saw the results of the IP plan firsthand in a family member and I was impressed!

I met with my counselor this morning, purchased all my products and I am beginning tomorrow morning! I'm really excited and also really nervous. My whole being is crying out for a drastic change and yet somehow those food demons keep dragging me down.

I'm happy to know that you are all here for support and motivation!

Once you get into ketosis, you will be amazed with your ability to sit next to a plate full of nachos followed by a plate of chocolate brownies that someone else is eating, and not be interested in the least. That has been my experience...off plan foods became about as exciting as cardboard.

I'm new to this forum too. Been doing IP for 6 weeks and lost 13 pounds! The foods are good! I really like the chocolate shake, but I heat it up and it's a yummy hot chocolate! Good luck!

Gypsy Woman it amazes me how fast those cravings disappeared for me on IP. Like Fishette I can sit at a table with nachos and watch people eat all sorts of foods without caring or wanting any of it. I think the one thing that I've learned that is the most important thing for me is that I can never go back to eating like I did before. I hear so many ppl at my work say that they are going on a diet to get the weight off so that they can go back to eating regularly. To them that means the way they were eating before their diet which is why they have to go on a diet. Congrats on your journey! you WILL be successful!
