So I'm normally a lurker around here, but I thought I'd share a "success" moment I had today.

Yesterday I purchased a new scale, because my old scale was, well, old and was no longer giving consistent numbers. Upon stepping on my new scale this morning, the reading said that I was 10 pounds heavier than my other scale had been saying. Normally I would be completely defeated by this, and would have used it as an excuse to go WAY off track for at least a few days. But instead I gave myself a little pep talk, and just decided that I would not let a silly number take away all of my hard work.

I'm learning that I can avoid self-sabatoge by taking time to really think through the emotions I am experiencing, whether it be cravings for fast food/junk food or frustration. Every time I feel these things, I have a choice as to what I'm going to do about it!

I just wanted to say thank you all for posting on here. I know I can always come and read inspirational posts to put my mind straight!

Good attitude! The more you practice making the right decision the easier it gets. I'm going through the same scale grief but I'm moving on anyway. The scale is not going to be the end of me this time! And neither for you I'm physched!!!
