My mother sort of knows since I've been logging my calories into FitDay every time I eat and since I've been eating different foods than normal, but I haven't told any of my friends or other family members.
I kept quiet at first too. Party because I didn't want to jinx myself and partly because I was embarrassed by my weight. Once it because obvious I was losing weight I started opening up more & more. Now I'll discuss my weight with anyone that is willing to listen, lol.
At first I only told my BFF, sister and mom. After about 60 lbs lost others started noticing and asking how-to questions. Now EVERYBODY knows and they all want to know my 'secret' - it's no secret, low-carb/low-fat and consistency...on plan every day.
I kept it to myself, until it all became pretty obvious. I did let my husband in on the secret once I'd lost about 20 pounds, and started thinking it was going to work, and that I would be sticking with it all the way, and also, so he wouldn't worry when I started visibly losing weight and think it was because of bad health or anything like that.
I'm open, so I mention it to family and friends at the start, plus now they see a big difference in me so lol...cat would be out of the bag so to speak. If someone asks me about my weight loss, and they have, then I tell them about myself. I don't care if people know what I'm doing or not because for me it is about me, not them. That is just how I feel about it, I'm probably too open lol.

A few people know about my renewed efforts, but generally I don't talk about my weight. I mean, I figure it's pretty obvious that I want to do something about it, so I don't feel the need to talk about it.

LOL--yep, that's how I felt. So I wanted to lose weight. What else was new?
