Okay chickies, let's pick a date! (I warned ya'll I was getting antsy!)

I've been researching some stuff-airfares, travelling distances, etc.. This is do-able, SO, let's pick a date!

How does the weekend of July 20-21st look? And where?

My parents live slap dab in the middle between DebKay & good4me. Rumor has it that some out of staters may also like to plan a trip down for a chickie meet, so, do we do it in SC or Atlanta?

My plan is to fly in the Thursday before, so, do I fly to Atlanta and hang out for the weekend? Should I go to SC, snag a car from my brother and drive to Atlanta? OR, just rent us a hotel room in SC for a chickie slumber party?

Who's interested in putting this meet in motion?

Driving to South Carolina is no biggie to me, or meeting in Atlanta is okay too. Whatever works for everyone else.

The weekend of the 20th is just fine also. My anniversary is the 19th, but we can celebrate a day or two early, after 22 years it's old hat.

So what does everyone else think??

Scooby-GREAT! I am just SOOOO excited! Ok chickies-what's good for everyone? SC or GA? I can do either one and work around the family visit.

How about accomodations? I've been checking things out and looking for airfare/hotel specials. So far priceline.com and cheaptickets.com seem to be the cheapest. Of course I'm still internet illiterate and someone else may have a better connection.

Who else might be able to make this southeast get together?

my vote is south carolina, even though atlanta is easier to get to. peachie and i could have a touchy family situation on our hands if we go to atlanta... although if we all keep our mouths shut...

Having lived here all my life, I'd love to get away. Having never gone to Georgia, I'd love to see it! However, the Atlanta traffic scares the daylights out of me!! However, I may have a connection on that end. . . . let me work on him!!

Why don't we do both? Some of the chicks go to GA then sashay over to SC. We could hit the beach (if I'm feeling brave that day, that is) or the mountains or the museum or Charleston or. . . well, if you're bringing kids with you there's Carowinds nearby. Hmmm. . . . I sound biased don't I?

Okay, enough hemming and hawing. You chicks decide, I'm flexible. I can't wait to see you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please, let's make this as easy for everyone as possible. I can do ANYTHING that you decide will be workable. But, for us out of towners flying in....where should we go? DebKay, Good and Scooby - is Myrtle Beach workable? I remember that it is gorgeous there! (though I've not been there for like 30 years! lol) Or should we stick close to town?

Seems as tho we may have a date, now we need the local! Since I'm so flexible and don't have the 9 to 5 to report to I'll leave that part up ya'll!

as long as i can swim i'll be an extremely happy camper. wait!!! don't start thinking i want to be in a tent!!!! my idea of roughing it is a hotel without a bar!!!!

Ok, so far the weekend of July 20th is looking fine with everyone?
South Carolina is fine with me, too. Now, let's pick the city. I'm with Jif on the ruffing it part!

Darn, I am sorry, I thought this was being planned for the late summer early fall, I did not notice the date in your first post. We are camping that weekend.
