Look forward to hearing from you

Thank you!!! It was so hard for me to get started before but once I made up my mind it was ON lol Like I said, I lost 30 pounds in about 3.5 months. I don't know if I can say this here but I use sparkpeople.com which helped me A LOT with tracking my food intake, if you go there and set up an account you can put all of your info in and I could as you as a friend there.

Hey, Dawn -- I'm so glad to see you back again! Congrats on the 30 lbs! That is terrific progress! I'm in a similar situation.

I lost 40 lbs last year but gained back several pounds from mid-Dec through mid-Jan. Then I spent a month trying to lose weight without counting calories (you'd think I'd know myself better by now). After realizing the scale hadn't budged (d'oh!) I had a few more weeks of false starts and now finally, I am back on track. I had my first on-program week last week and so far so good this week.

I think I may simply have to accept that weight gain in Dec-Jan is going to happen. I still feel good about last year, and I am certainly better off now than I was a year ago. I hope you feel good about your progress last year too!

Anyway, I'm glad you've made it back here. Getting back on 3FC has been helpful for me. Keep posting!

Thanks so much! I also had some false starts and I'm really wanting to stay on this time, though I am ready to eat my arm off right now lol I really got off track this last month or so with moving, stress and some other things that got tossed into the equation. I was eating bad and yesterday I felt so sluggish, I decided today was today (which happens to be my daughters b-day) ugh! lol I can do it though and I'm going to stick to it.

I'm in about the same place. I lost 30 lbs last fall , maintained through christmas, and have now added 5-7lbs back on. Now that the weather is warmer, and clothes are more revealing, i can see just how much i've let it go. I've been continuing to eat the way i was (crappy)for a few days and tracking my calories and i have been eating like over 2000 cals/day which is too high for me. I want to get it back down to less than 1600/day and start working out regularly again. (i've done a fairly good job at this since last week.)

I went and bought myself a new workout outfit, that included a tank top and shorts and a new hot pink sports bra. I also got both of Jillian Michaels new dvds. Plus the guilt was eating away at me that i hadn't used our 900$ elliptical since december. I swore i wouldn't do that Seems to be working.

Usually when i have to restart my weight loss i find if i start with just focusing on the working out part, the eating healthy is much easier. i still have to count calories. I always seem to eat more than i remember , i use calorie count , but have used sparkpeople in the past.

Well at least you are getting back on track before you gain it all back.
