Default slow weight Lose?

I started on July 24.
Calorie counting, more excercise.
have lost 15 pounds.
Is that too slow. Am I not working hard enough?
My clothes are a little more comfortable but can't really see a big change.
Well my bust line is smaller...sniff,sniff.

Just wondering if I am doing this right.

Congrats!

You're losing, you're eating healthier & exercising. That is doing it right.

You are doing great. Medical research on weight loss shows that people who lose the weight slowly have a MUCH better chance of keeping it off later. Also, if you lose more than 1 to 2 pounds a week, you run the risk of losing too much of a percentage of your lean muscle mass instead of fat. It sounds like you are losing within this window.

It is very frustrating not just to have it drop off at once -- instant gratification is nice. However, you are making changes for the rest of your life -- a few extra months to do it right is really a drop in the bucket of the rest of your life.

If it stalls completely, you might want to think about shaking up your plan. Or, if you want to lose a little faster -- up the exercise a little, etc. Otherwise, just keep chugging along. 15 pounds is a HUGE accomplishment.

It's hard to tell what might be normal or not, without knowing more about you! How much do you weigh now, how tall are you, etc.

In general a rate 1% of your body weight per week (for most people that's somewhere between 1.5 and 2 lbs per week) is considered healthy weight loss. So just based on what you've said above, in 8 weeks, you've lost 15 lbs, which is slightly under 2 lb a week.

Sounds about right to me.

Sounds like a good rate to me, too. Not going to repeat what everyone has already said, but they are exactly right! Good job!

That's a great rate. About 7-8 pounds a month, or about 1.5-2 pounds a week.

I think you are doing great!

I lost 3 pounds in August, and have gained 1 pound in Sept, so you are having phenomenal success in my eyes
