Default 2 weeks out...what I expected and what I didn't

Nanj asked if surgery was what I expected and how I adjusting....

At first, I was woozy because of a lack of salt. I was told it would be fixed by drinking bouillon from cubes and it worked.

It didn't take away the desire, no the NEED, to chew things. I didn't realize how much chewing was a essential part of eating, a big part of my addiction. I can't wait to get through the soft food stage so I can, no Have to, chew chew chew!

I have tried to drink drink drink, too, and am glad to say that I am not thirsty, though the only time I have thrown up is when I forgot to wait the 30 mins after eating to drink and then I forgot and guzzled my water like I used to. Not good!

I didn't expect to lose this much weight! Unofficially, I lost 19 lbs in 2 weeks!

WOW

Now at the end of the first 2 weeks (I see the doctor tomorrow), I am beginning to feel some peace. Letting go of a need to chew, making my liquid diet fun and tasty and though not looking great yet (still too much front butt goin' on! ), getting into and zipping up the size 22 jeans I got from the Clothing exchange!!!

Thank you to all here for helping me get through this in one peice. OK, in the case of my stomach...2 pieces!

Angela

Hey Ange: Take little bites!!! I bet once a day I try to hog something and end up is a lump in my chest. You'd think I would learn. One thing I learned is that WLS sure takes a lot of time and planning out of my day. It is getting better though; I'm official four months out. My vitamin and supplement regime just about kills me; I swear they are a meal in itself. I'm taking an antibiotic right now that has to be taken 6 hours after my vitamins or my vitamins two hours after I take it; plus when I do a potty break in the middle of the night I have to take my prevacid! Be glad when that antibiotic is done!!! Keep up the good work.
