Default Bored with your workout??

I accidently discovered a new workout that is SO much fun. My kids and I put on our tennis shoes and went to the Humane Society. They have 18 black lab puppies right now that are about 3 months old. We took them into the fenced yard about 4-5 at a time and played with them. We ran, played catch, played tug of war, got tackled, wrestled, chased. It was so much fun and the harder I worked the more the puppies loved it. It wasn't really a focused "workout" so there is no way to track if it was an effective calorie burner but it was very active and we were there for about 2 hours. Plus, the kids got to come along and we all had a blast!

That sounds like alot of funny. Playing with puppies/doggies is always fun and quite a workout.

That's what this should be about -- having a good time being active!

When do you get to go back??

Default burning question

Good for you! Great workout and good deed....the burning question; how can there be 18 black lab puppies the same age? They can't all be one litter, CAN THEY??? My precious baby (a year old now, and crashed at my feet) is one of 11 in a litter, but !*????

I already have 3 labs. If I saw 18 puppies at a shelter, then I would have 21, my husband would leave me because now I would be the crazy dog lady and I would probably turn to food to comfort me. I balloon back up to 292.

Long term I don't think this workout would work for me.

I've actually considered volunteering for a rescue/shelter but my problem is that I too would end up with so many pets, it would not be good. We just adopted our 3rd animal in less than a year when we both agreed that we'd have a 2 pet limit

There were 3 litters: 8, 6, and 9 puppies in them. 5 have been adopted. The kids are already bugging me to go back tomorrow so I guess we will!

Good for you! Workout, entertain the kids, AND play with puppies at the same time!

I already have 5 full-time dogs, with two part-time dogs on top of that. If I went to a shelter, I would end up with every single dog in there. So not a good plan for me, but BRAVO on you!

I have that problem with cats. I have 4 cats in my apartment already and if I visited the cat room I know I would bring another 1 or 2 or 6 home. The puppies are pretty harmless.. I enjoy puppies and dogs but I don't have the space for one so I am not tempted to bring one home!
