This isn't strictly a WW question, but I'm wondering if you all can help me. I've lost a significant amount of weight. My all time high was 255 and I'm currently floating around 170. I love it. I can shop pretty much anywhere I want to and I think I look pretty darned good in my clothes. My only problem is when the clothes come off. You can't be that big without leaving a whole lot of jiggle behind, much of it in the behind. Not to be too indelicate, but things aren't where they used to be and are neither as firm nor as full as they used to be either. Anyone else experience this? I'm not in an intimate relationship now and I'm kinda leary cause at some point the clothes come off and I don't want to leave the poor guy wondering "Gee, where'd they go?" Anyone else ever feel like this? I know it's a very personal question, but I don't have anyone in my immediate vicinity I can ask about it. Thanks all.
I know exactly what you are saying!!! After losing almost half my body weight(which I carried for at least half my life), there isn't much firmness left to anything! My stomach is a heap of flesh over some nice looking abs, I'm sure. My breasts are like tiny rocks in a really long stretched out sock. My arms have a bit of of the bat wing syndrome, though I can really see the muscles now. My thighs and butt aren't bad but they were never where I had alot of weight to begin with. I have the same concerns you do about being intimate one day. However, I would rather have all of this...even the "muffin top" that comes with alot of skin that has to go somewhere when you wear jeans....than the 93 pounds of fat I lost. I still have 7 pounds to go but when it is done, I will wait a year or so. If I am still not happy...especially with the boobs and stomach, I may look into some surgery. I think any man I may find in the future will just have to be okay with what there is to "me". If "he" doesn't exist, then so be it!!
Welll....are you doing toning exercises? My personal favorite one that I MUST do every time I go to the gym, even if it is not a strength training day, are "flyes." This exercise builds up your chest muscles, so it pushes any boobs that you have left after losing all that weight (congrats btw!) OUT! Also, let's face it...when we get into an "intimate situation" with a male, the last thing that is on their minds is how we look. LOL...uh, yeah....that is not what they are thinking about!
I am right there with you with things not being as they once were. The boobs just leave me shaking my head. I was bra shopping for about 2 hours today, and finally gave up. I so badly want the molded cup bras in the pretty shades of cocoa or lime green or orange, but the twins just don't fit in them correctly! I have a lot of saggy skin around my tummy, even with exercising almost every day since last August. I've just about accepted that this is me, take it or leave it. I'd rather have the saggy skin any day than the weight I lost.
I'm so glad that I'm not the only one looking at saggy flesh and shaking her head. As far as bra shopping goes, I've learned to stay away from full coverage bras, demi cups all the way, they don't have that sad empty portion up top where my breast should be but isn't. I go to vicky secret and get one of the girls there to do a sizing for me and try on every style in that size until I find what works. It takes a while but it's worth it when I'm able to wear a cute top and pull off the illusion of boobage.
the ONE thing that i'm not looking forward to when I reach my GW, is all the loose, saggy flesh that is going to be hanging off my body...... Although I'd much sooner have lost half my body weight (which is what i need to loose) than not lose the weight so i don't look AS saggy (but hey i was saggy before i started WW anyway).....
Me & my sister were talking about it the other day, and as a reward for losing all my weight & maintaining for a set amount of time (a year or two i'm thinking), I am going to seriously look into having some surgery done.
my saggyness sometimes makes me want to gain a few back to hopefully "fill it in"... but i know better. there are some creams that have q10 complex in them that help with firming and such.
