Default Cottage Cheese

I have searched the forums and the FAQ and this is addressed a few different ways. In the FAQs in Phase 2 Dr. Ian says you can substitute cottage cheese for the 1 oz of cheese which yields about a tablespoon.

However on the latest installment of celebrity fit club (can't help my self, it's the only reality show i watch) they commended Maureen for her continued weight loss and posted her food journal here

They list she has cottage cheese with fruit most days for breakfast, and praise it as a good option.

So I wonder if i could possiblly replace one serving of plain yogurt for one serving of 1% cottage cheese. They have nearly identical fat and calories, but the cottage cheese contains more than twice the protein, but more sodium as well.

I'm curious if anyone has made thus substitution with success?

Default hi

you can make your own cottage cheese at home, so that you avoid the salt problem.

Just boil the milk. add lemon juice to the boiling milk in drops when you can see the milk curdle. strain and you have home made cottage cheese.\\
