Red face New from Texas

I found this web site while looking for new weightloss products. I thought what a great idea. I have no else to talk to about my weight problems. My husband is thin, all of my friends are thin, so no one really understands the struggle I go through everyday. I not sure how to post things or how to chat, but I'm hoping to pick up on it quickly. About my self. I am from Texas, I am married and have 2 little boys one is 7 and the other is 14 months. I am a respiratory therapist. I have struggled with my weight all of my life. I am 5'9, and 254lb. I lost alot of weight once by taking pills, and drinking shakes, but the weight and then some came right back. My will power is very weak. I don't like to exercise, but something has got to give somewhere. So that is enough about me I am hoping to make some new friends here, and look forward to talking to yall, as soon as I find out how.

Hi CherryRed! Welcome! It takes a little bit to get used to, but when you figure it out, it becomes some of the best support you could find anywhere.

You CAN do this...you just need to take baby steps. Are you on any particular plan? We have areas here for many different ways of eating so we can support others who eat the same way that we do. Browse around, find a spot that feels like home, and keep posting! I look forward to getting to know you better.

Maybe if you reply in this thread with questions, we'll give you answers in our responses and help you figure things out.

Welcome and good luck! On 3FC main page click on Diet and you will find a lot of different diets reviewed or check out the forums for ideas , it is OK to experiment until you will find what works best for you.You will be more successful if you exercise along with your diet plan. Start out slowly , maybe doing something with the kids or walking.

WELCOME
Going on diets has never worked for me. I lose weight when I'm on them and gain it back when I go off. I will never diet again.
I eat 5 - 6 healthy small meals a day. Lots of vegetables, lean protein, fruits, low fat dairy & high fiber cereal & breads. I have to do something that I can do for the rest of my life. This I can do.
I also count calories and exercise. Many people don't like to exercise but do it anyway. You would not go a night without sleep, please do not go a day without exercise. Plus once you gain muscle the inches seem to come off much quicker. An added bonus.
Find something you can do forever and stick with it. I know forever sounds like a long time. After the first 3 weeks it becomes a habit. I no longer would put junk in my mouth. I just don't want to.
Come say hi to the 100 lb. club. I like to post there.
Good luck.
