Thanks for the welcome, Jasmine! I love your avatar, by the way. It amuses me greatly.
hahah Thanx! I found it on livejournal!

I knew I couldn't be the only person who had found that calorie calculator; I love the results it gives. It's so specific. And uplifting, seeing as it tells me I could eat 2200 cal/day and maintain this weight. How easy it should be to lose, then! Right? Hehe.
Exactly! My maintenance is 2225 a day with no exercise.(but I am shorter than you!) So I usually try to shoot for an average of 1700 a day with an average of 60-90 minutes daily of exercise. My walking average right now is 80. Not bad. I was at 90 on the 20th but got a bit miffed when it was NOT helping any!

Anyways slow and steady wins the race.

they have found a slight amount more fat grams burned if you don't eat before exercise in the morning,
Cool. I always thought you should eat and then exercise it away!

I think intensity is great.

Hey guys! I also wanted to share with you this little calendar I made. I'm using it to track my daily fitness minutes. I thought it was cute, so if any of you wanted to print it out or use it or whatever, go ahead!
Cute! Thanx hun but I have one at my board I use, plus my blog there for tracking minutes.

Well I do have to say that I have been a good girl today eating wise! Oh I've been tempted...but I won! I took my daughter to get her haircut and I tell ya, it really made me think about how much I hate being this size. I feel so frumpy and out of place even just sitting in a waiting chair, like I'm lesser a person. Now I know thats not true but that's how it feels. Only one way to change that and that is to stick to the straight and narrow! Beat those temptations! I havent exercised today but thats okay, i did get alot of stair climbing in at the kids school again today. Tomorrow I'll visit the gym for sure!
Well what a great motivator! You weigh a little more than me but also have a few inches on me. SO we might look similiar, course it depends on where we carry it!

Anyhow so I do NOT look frumpy! Which means you don't either! I look very thin and sleek! So you do too! (and even if we don't, lets just keep telling ourselves that til we do!

)

Jasmine...the more I read about your ex and all the hastle you have in life because of him the more I think we should all go string him up for ya!! Sheesh!! As usual you are kickin butt and showing us all how its done!! thank you so much for all your honesty and sharing. I just love how much insight you have in your plan. The "new" plan looks great too! Onederland is not far off!!...can ya smell it yet?!
Thanx hun! I am so glad to be rid of him. I can honestly say that besides him being gone all the time he was not such a smuck before. It was only the last few years. I really think him being so overweight and getting high blood pressure affected and scared him to the point he took it out on us. Only he can change himself though. It is never okay to take anger out on your family like that. I did not want to raise my kids that it was okay to live in fear, or that it was okay to let a man hit you. or threaten too! I knew there was no way in **** I wanted my daughters following that example! Ummm...what was my new plan again? hahahahahahahaha
ONEDERLAND!!! HERE I COME!!!!!!

I am hungry ALL the time, always have been my whole life, its not a matter of how MUCH I eat. I could be hungry all the time on 5000 calories a day...seriously. I have had blood sugar issues in the past and if I stick to a diabetes style diet I can be satisfied (ish) on 1700 calories (not when I am nursing!) and if I dont, there is nothing that will satisfy me. Right now I am aiming for 2000-2100/day, except when I run long and then I add another 100 for every mile over 4.
Okay hun the next thing I would recommend is to cut out potatoes, bread and processed stuff! Those are really a trigger for me which is why I ration myself. Even these darn bagels are triggering me! (they have 8 grams of sugar per bagle

) I notice when i eat cleaner that I don't get like that!

I LOVE taco bell! What did ya have? They also have "al fresco style" now there so you can skip cheese and sour cream for salsa!

I haven't done great on food today; breakfast was teensy cause there was nothing else in the house and all the apples have gone bad, but I had two cheddarwursts for lunch. A guilty pleasure of mine; I'm trying to figure out dinner, cause I don't really have much I can make, other than ramen. But I've almost made it to 1 liter of water for today, which is really good for me. My goal is to get to 2/day soon, but I'll settle for 1 to start with.
Off to the grocery store; Wish me the strength not to stop by 7-11 on the way home!!!
You can do this! I was wanting a grill cheese today too but I just might be good. Who knows?

Whew. You can definitely tell that today was a tempting day (hence being on here all over the place, and the digital art! haha). I had to sit and watch DF eat hot wings and steak cut potatoes for dinner, while I picked at my salad. On days like this, I think I may take my dinner to the bedroom and watch TV in there.
Awww hunny! I can't believe how much fat is in wings either! I am so fortuante my dh is not too picky and eats whatever I give him, unfortunately now my eldest daughter is throwing a food fit!

I don't know if I mentioned it yet, but I'm thinking about terminating my gym membership.
Okay. I would agree with you but also for other reasons. I read in the exercise forum here it has a sticky that says 8 most dangerous or useless exercises etc and it mentions 3 machines at curves! My gosh they hardly have any machines as is! SO 3 are bad gfor you???? (If you want that link let me know!)

nyway. Got my floors scrubbed today, laundry is all done, and the Christmas decorations are out and ready to go. My house is tidy, and I feel good about that. Except one place. DFs computer desk. It's absolutely disgusting. And I asked him to have it cleaned up at some point today (it's in the living room), and he hasn't touched it. If anything, it's only gotten worse. I need to light a flame under that man's ***, I tell ya!
Smack that man for me!!

that its not necessarily what we eat everyone slips up now and then its just that we dont work it off i think my goals for water and exercise is good for me then ill start counting calories or weight watchers once that goes in gear because right now i do very limited exercise and thats not good.
That is EXACTLY the conclusion my dh and I have come too hun! Like the whole bread fiasco! People have been baking and eating bread for years!!! We think it all boils down to get your butt moving! walk, exercise! In old times it was literally a chore just to survive! Go fetch your water, go milk the cow, go kill the chicken, etc, etc. People need to get moving! I have also read the best way to prevent diabetes is to start walking!!! And briskly! That is another reason why I moved my minutes average up this month from last month.

I am so upset this morning. I am in a closed forum (not 3FC related) where we all had our 1st kids at the same time. Now we are having our seconds...although not at the same time. One of them was put on bedrest for up to 3 months. I wanted to give her an amazon gift, but thought what I could afford would be borderline useless, so I asked a few other girls for help to get a decent gift.
Now everyone else is pissed at me because they were "left out"
I barely slept last night (and as a new mom I cant afford that) and it did cost me my morning workout
I know what ya mean. I have been involved in many forums and the drama sometimes can be annoying. Sometimes it is best to just state your case, and step back. Let the pieces fall where they may.

Good morning hotties!! I'm ready to have a great day! Saw a little movement in the right direction yesterday, just working off the damage I did over the holiday so nothing to cheer about yet but at least I know I'm getting back to where I was.

Well, I didn't end up getting to the store last night, and didn't eat dinner at all. Which is good on the one hand - low calories for the day - but still not healthy, so I'm kinda mad at myself. Sigh. Gonna go out and grab some stuff for breakfast before I start on the work that's due at my 10 AM class.
Just don't go too low hun!

Hey Jasmine thanks for starting this thread. Back from Thanksgiving and lets just say I need all the support I can get. I didn't even weigh in this Monday because I am afraid of what the scale will say. So this weight is what I weighed in with last week.

Yesterday was a great day, food-wise. However, today I am getting a bit annoyed with DF. Maybe I'm just crabby. It's not that he isn't supportive. Those of you from the previous TG challenge have heard the other side of the paper when I'm talking good about him . It's just that the little things are getting to me. He cleaned his computer desk today. But only because he had to. He spilled a bunch of pop on his electronics, and even then he only cleaned the area where it spilled. Grr. Then yesterday he left the step ladder RIGHT IN FRONT of the fridge (the cupboard of junk food is right above the fridge). He's been doing things like that a lot. Leaving the step ladder out, leaving cupboard doors open when getting dishes, or things from the pantry. Leaving dishes on his desk, and the list goes on. It's starting to wear VERY thin. Anyway, the other day I tripped over the step ladder, so when he pulled it out today, I asked him to make sure it was put away when he was done, and he got all snotty in my face. Like, "Well, I hate having to take the step ladder out every time I want something from that cupboard. I'm just going to move it all back." ARG&^*W%E*&R%WE*&R%W$E%%&^%&^$^#%#@$#@&^
The whole freaking reason I moved that crap out of the pantry was because every time I saw it, I was triggered to binge.
Like, you are either with me or against me, ya know?
And I know tomorrow I won't feel this bad, I'm just crabby because he has been home from work 2 days in a row, and this is usually "me" time. This is when I exercise, tidy up the house, and watch my A&E shows. But instead I'm stuck watching him play video games and making a mess.
GO TO FREAKING WORK! YOU AREN'T REALLY SICK! TRY GOING TO BED EARLIER!
Awww sweetie! That is annoying. I think you need to sit down and have a heart to heart with him. Remind him why you are doing this! So you can be healthy and live with him a long time! WOuld it help to have a locked cabinet he has the keys to that is lower?

You can do it!!

By the way ..kudos to anyone who can do cardio at a gym. I am a runner and run outdoors. Outdoors I can go for as long as I need to and not get bored ...indoors on a treadmill I have about 10 minutes before I am watching the clock.
SO despite major emotional turmoil, I stuck to plan...that is a major victory right there.
That is great! You can do it!!

Donuts for breakfast this morning. Bad, bad me. I justified it to myself since I didn't even break 1000 cal yesterday, I could afford a breakfast like this. *sigh* I'm just stressed, got finals in a week and papers due and all sorts of not-fun stuff, so I don't have the time to actually get/make *real* food like I'm supposed to. High stress J-O-B to say the least... cancer unit at a hospital. Even when I work 3-11 you'd think I could exercise during the day but its like I'm on melt down mode or something preparing myself for the next shift. I have to force myself to do the least things like get groceries, house work, anything out of the ordinary such as exercise. Seldom have a decent shift. Right now I am on an 8 day stretch of 7-3 and 3-11's. Oh well so I look forward to "talking" to you guys... So I managed to stay with in my calories today. I hope to be 150 by Feb for our anniversary vacation...Enough about me...
That does sound stressful hun! Make sure you take time for yourself though!!
