  • awww that's sweet...good way to start my day
  • I have four days off starting tomorrow. I'm moving to a better place. It's my b-day this weekend. And last weekend I went to the coast and hubby left the weekend to all my choices... my b-day present.
Also am grateful that we have a car and independance enough to move on our own. It sucks begging for help always for everything. So good to be able to do our own chores!
  • Happy Birthday!

Where ya moving to? If I might ask? Staying in Oregon, Staying in Eugene? Moving to a better place sounds like you are dying - you're not, right?

    Moving closer to me?

    Happy Birthday!! Keep it real
  • hehe. going to a better place. no, i'm not dying, not yet. though the new place doesn't have a/c so i might! it sure has been hot for oregon, huh? i'm staying in eugene, moving to a different neighborhood is all. I wish i was leaving eugene, but hubby loves it here so... what can i do? *L*

Thanks for the birthday wishes. 25 seems kinda depressing, but then i think about my hubby hitting 30 next February and I cheer back up. Does that make me evil???
  • Yes!
    Especially since I am 35.

And just to make sure we arent related somehow - does the last name of Downey mean anything to you?

I ask because I have an aunt and uncle in Eugene that have grandkids your age that I have never met. This would be weird. But would not be the first time.

PM me if you don't want to discuss your lineage in open forum.

    PJ
  • hehe. doesn't ring a bell. the big family name that relates me to everyone in oregon is raisor. scary scary.

c.g. is so scary that i went to a family function for MY family, and met one of my husbands distant relatives (married into the family thank you very much, my husband and i are not related!!). It was a little scary though.
There's something to be happy and grateful for - I'm not my husbands cousin LMAO
  • I am thankful for a husband who does the shopping and doesn't mind shopping for my strange dietary requests...and female requests.
  • i'm thankful andy has a job interview on monday
  • Ferret: I'll keep my fingers crossed on the interview.

I am grateful to have an understanding son (age 12). He knew that my weight was causing other health problems, and he was a real trooper (scared trooper) when I had the gastric bypass surgery.
  • I'm grateful that I get to see my vocational rehab counselor today about college....so HOPEFULLY...my tuition will go through this evening before the deadline tomorrow. Meaning I'll be back to school in a few weeks! And I'm really, really gratful that the yucky fever blister I got on Thursday is going away! I know thats a gross thing to mention but there is nothing like getting one of those to make me feel ugly & embarrassed to go out in public. I had a whole houseful of friends here this weekend & felt like a bit of a leper.
  • thanks for the luck...he's at the interview right now...
and i'm thankful for my family
  • I am thankful for my health and that my heat rash is finally going away.

I am thankful that DH finally got the garden in (we have a late summer so should be ok - if not the chickens will love it)

I am so happy that the scale is still saying I lost weight!

And I am grateful for this group that has helped me to stay on track!
  • I'm thankful that the move is over. old house is clean as it's gonna get, and i'd better get my deposit! new place is coming together, only have a little bit left of the bedroom and the office and livingroom to get organized. Not too bad for 3 1/2 solid days of work. And I'm also grateful that even with short bouts of shouting and crankiness, no major fights ensued. I'm so proud of us!
  • Yay he got the job! and all my family is around right now so i'm feelin pretty ecstatic...not to mention andy talked about setting a wedding date the other night
  • Yay Ferret!! Congrats
