  • takingcontrol: How awesome is that!? Best friends flying in to visit from home is even better. Also, another nice loss...maybe your body is settling out a bit of that bouncy stage!

NightSnacker: I'm glad it flushed back out for you right away, and wow...you've made great progress since January!

LovelyLeah: I have noticed that, as well! I started drinking more water, added back in avocados/guacamole, and allowed myself to have full servings of almonds, and it has helped a bit. I don't think I was balancing the amount of fiber and nutrient-dense foods that I suddenly added, so there was definitely an uncomfortable "adjustment period"...lol.

Weekend Boater: Happy to see you posting again and that you had a yummy dinner last night. I think a lot of us indulged a little to celebrate, lol.

Today's weigh-in was 264.6, which I did not expect! I'm just happy that TOM is being nice to me this month. Knocking on wood so I don't jinx myself, lol. Didn't do as well as I wanted to with water yet again - only getting 14 servings - so, I will continue to work on that today. Also hoping that the rain from this morning stays away now that it has cleared up and the sun is back out, so that I can get my nightly walk in as well.

  • Morning all, posting my official weigh in and running I'm afraid. AA 12 hour day at work to get through then my apartment to clean and visitors to prepare for before I head to the airport in the morning to pick up my oldest friend, yippee! The other 4 will arrive later in the day.... this weekend will be off plan, I am going to be kind to myself but also just see if I can make better decisions and still enjoy myself, let's see!

I've been playing this 'game' for a month now and have lost my first stone this morning (14lb) seems like a good first milestone, next is onederland, soon after that is getting into the 13stone bracket which was my 'skinny weight' a while ago. Then it's getting out of an obese BMI category, and finally it is keeping going until I am happy. If that is all the way down to a normal BMI and the 150s, great! But, I have never weighed in there so it so hard to know when I will feel happy and slim...... adventure times!

  • takingcontrol Oh you must be excited! I hope that you have a wonderful reunion with you friend.
  • Up two ounces today but I had a 5 hour road trip in a snowstorm yesterday and dehydration with the heater going is likely the issue there. Not going to worry about this one I think I have it on the run now!

Hopefully this is the start of a down swing. I'm nearly the same weight I was last week. But I suppose that's normal after a whoosh.

  • No time for personals today, so just saying hi to everyone all at once!

Today's weigh-in was 263.8. I think making sure I get my 2.5-3 mile walk around our hilly neighborhood in every night is really helping me combat the TOM bloat this week. I also moved my IF window into a slightly later time of the day to coincide with my inevitably later bed times, and I think that has made a difference, as well. We shall see if this all continues to work out over the next couple of weeks. *knocking on wood* Water update: I actually got in 21 servings of water yesterday! I doubt I will be able to get in that many today though, because we're going to our oldest's soccer game tonight, and I don't want to be drinking a ton of water and being stuck somewhere with a possibility of no restrooms. Should be interesting...wish me luck on that, lol.

  • I just joined this forum but have to say I'm thrilled reading everyone's successes, I certainly came to the right place to be inspired!

I have to admit, I feel like I'm cheating and am frightened of the scale each morning after adding what seems like extra food. I feel like I'm over eating for being on a diet to some degree but still trying to make choices that are helpful. Found out today my good cholesterol is low so I need to start paying attention to eating the right things to help that. No thyroid issues etc. I guess i was just undereating for my activity level but things seem to be going ok now again.

Nightsnacker I can't speak for everyone, though I'm sure they would agree, we love having you here!!

I am so relieved for this mornings weigh-in. Yesterday was not a good day. Having to lay around and do nothing is a huge binge trigger for me. I started a new dose of medication Wednesday night and it was waaaaaay too strong. My blood pressure was so low that I couldn't do much beyond lay around on the couch. It didn't help that my doctor told me to eat a lot of sodium to help raise my BP back up. So not only am I laying around, a trigger, I'm being told to eat a lot of salty foods! I definitely went OP and when my husband got home from work We split a frozen pizza. Today I feel a lot better because we dropped me back down to my normal dose.

An NSV though is that I no longer look like I'm 5 months pregnant. I now only look like I'm 4 months along!

  • Hi everyone

just checking in. I was offbeat for a few days but back in action and thankfully have my zest and drive back, whew! It's not over yet! Just focusing on day by day which always works best for me. Happy weekend to you all and wishing you all a good start to the weekend!

I am NOT going out this weekend, I have been in due to the snow but for various reasons felt like I was struggling most of the month so far and so I wont have that anymore! Going to try and finish strong, my fave Mexican restaurant will have to wait! lol I have a few birthday parties to attend next month, and happily so, but all the more reason I need to buckle down now.

keep up the great work everyone, and not just in lbs. lost but in striving towards our goals each and every day, whatever those may be!

    Nightsnacker, welcome

Ophelia, that is terrific that your going for those walks! Your doing fantastic, keep up the great work!

Leah, honestly...a frozen p sounds very good to me right now! lol Congrats on the loss as well and glad your feeling better today. it's amazing what a new day can do!

Happy weekend girls! Next Wednesday marks our 3 weeks...I am going to crank and see where it brings me! I wish us all a successful and good new day tomorrow, catch you all soon.
