OH yeah I have done all that so many times. I go to advanced and when I click on smiles it comes up and freezes my pc. If I click on attachments my pc freezes. Stops everything dead. It's just this site! Bah Hum Bug

Hi Everyone,

Another beautiful day down here in FL. For the first few days after driving down from PA, I was kind of out of sorts - I think I was just exhausted. Started feeling better this weekend.

Probably going to the beach today. Last night was a really nice community "tree" lighting. All the trees in a park were decorated by different individuals. You walked around the park & put your ticket in a bag in front of the tree you liked best. Was a really nice event.

While I was not feeling good, I was not eating much & lost a couple of pounds. Now that I feel better & am starting to work on Christmas cookies & a turkey dinner, I am pretty sure I will gain those back quickly. I did sign up for a month at the local Y & have been going every morning. My DD & SIL do a lot of walking in the afternoons, but the sun is too much for me between 12 and 4.

K3 ~ what browser do you use? I wondered if you opened 3FC with a different browser, if that would make a difference? The last time there was all that problem with 3FC ~ some of the other GG's suggested using Firefox. So, I have been using that for 3FC ever since with no problems.

Hope you can find a solution.

Still staying home ...hated to miss church esp because Paul Young, author of The Shack and Crossroads was there, BUT thanks to modern technology I was able to stream the service! Love that we can do that these days! Dh went and on the way home he finally found a gold star for our tree. Our old one didn't work this year plus I wanted gold. Couldn't find one that was lighted though...

Karen3/Bobbi - what browser are you using, Karen? I use Chrome and it works fine. Do you have problems with other websites, or just 3FC? If you do, you might want to check your settings in Control Panel.

Since I upgraded to Win 8.1 I can't run my Netflix DVDs. Going to work on that today. I know it's not the DVD because it runs on our TV. My autorun setting seems to be ok, so not sure....maybe need a upgrade of my media software or something I'm hoping if I can't figure it out that Costco concierge service will help me, even though I'm pretty sure it's a software issue.

My weight stayed the same...I dip down but still not able to breakthrough the 160.

Lynn - Sounds like you're enjoying FL!! GFY! We usually go somewhere warm in Jan, but no plans this year. With this surgical consult still facing me, even though I don't plan on having surgery if I can help it, I'm reluctant to make any plans. I don't mind our usual mild weather up here but dh is getting kind of antsy I think.

Delmarva -The way I'm coughing (and it's loose) I don't think it's in my lungs. I have wondered if I could possibly have a touch of bronchitis because at times I feel a slight heaviness up high in my chest, but no hurting or sob. I keep thinking I'll try listening to my own chest. I've never tried that. I have no fever...used to chill at times but no more. My voice is still kinda hoarse...I love to sing around the house but keep cracking up when I try now. LOL Poor dh having to listen to that.

Well, the wedding was beautiful but I'm glad to be back at home. The weather was cold but thank goodness we didn't have to deal with anymore snow!

Bobbie, my Mustang isn't new but almost--- it is a 2012. I'm really liking it and look forward to getting out and driving it soon. Right now it is in our garage nice and dry and clean! We took Tim's Escalade truck to the wedding since it was already dirty from the trip to Branson. And we didn't know for sure if we were going to run in to more snow and nasty roads. now, I'm anxious for Spring to get here so I can put the top down and cruise!!! LOL!!!

I'm kind of tired and I think I need to go and make some coffee just to warm up. We have 49 degrees and the sun is out but we had the heat turned down while we were gone so it is taking a while to get warm again

Rosie, I love those bracelets!!! They are beautiful and I think a red one would look just wonderful on my wrist!!!

now mary about your cough…well i have a loose cough also ,. and do you know what it is? from my sinuses!!!!!

i have sinus disease which came up when i had mri's and ct scans of my brain. anyway, the post nasal drip turns to coughing….it's actually GOOD to get rid of the mnucus, anyhow, somew kind of air purifier may help. i have one. it was $40.00 at the chemist.

you have to add some vicks stuff and water, and it steams away while you sleep. do you get clogged up at all in the nose? well i do, so that helps.
just an idea because i also thought it was my lungs and my chest is clear.

karen, 3 and 31, i don't have any problems with my computer….hang on but i don't have the same privileges as you so it isn't really relevant i suppose.

just sayin'…also i'm on an i-mac so that's different too and i use safari, a completely different browser. with a software problem you can't tell who's software it is, yours or theirs! LOL

DH is outside painting timber for part of our new verandah. what a talented hard-working chap.

karen31 i wouldn't be able to leave the mustang alone - i would have to drive it. but i suppose with all that horrible snow i would maybe just look at it, about 50 times a day. do you keep looking at it? come on, tell the truth now.

here's my 3fc ticker. i'm bang on 85 kilo's. so i've lost exactly 15 time for a reward because every 5 kilo's is a mini-goal i'm supposed to reward. our friend phillip said no to 85.4. he said no it has to be right on the mark. i can't be rewarded on 85.4 so there . now i'm on the mark exactly . i will tell phillip tomorrow morning.

he is bound to show up because kirsty is here, cleaning, and he likes to flirt with her, even though she is 340 years younger than him!! hysterical! lol

sorry, typo, i type with one finger so that's why i have so many typo's. sorry. anyway he is actually 30 years her senior, not quite 340 although it may as well be…. bahahaaaaaa

Received two of the gifts I ordered today, so now I need to find out when we and the recipients can get together. I'd love to have everyone together on Christmas but think that probably won't happen this year, so may plan a time here at our house. This is the first year our son has lived nearby for so long so I do want to get with him at some point for the holiday. I went out (2 stores) for a little shopping ...groceries and supplements today. Coughed but not too bad but tire easily. Know I need more exercise though to build my strength again. Sat I want to go to my gc dance recital so hope my cough is gone or much less by then. I bought some probiotics for my colon...doc had suggested I might try them...but then I came down with this cough and I forgot about them.

Saraphin - Maybe that is what my cough is, don't know. I am getting a headache from the coughing, so maybe it is sinuses. At times my head does feel very full even before this. I also always have a runny nose...year round but rarely a cold...usually only get a cold about once every two years, so it is unusual for me to have it two Dec in a row. And coughing is really the only symptom except fatigue (which I already had) and for a while there I had a back ache. My upper chest feels slightly pressured/weighted...but that could be from my hernia...it causes chest discomfort sometimes..comes and goes. I did listen and my bronchials sound clear...kind of hard listening to your own chest though..LOL esp since I was also trying to hold up my top. Didn't even thing to strip before doing it....duh...

Well, I am a little happier with my upgrade to win 8.1. Did you know that with 8.1 (maybe 8 also), you can't play DVDs unless you buy a $100 video package also?!! When I found that out I was so mad! Afterall the upgrade already cost me $119 and I'm not that happy with it ! Called my Costco Concierge service and they told me the only thing they knew to do was upgrade to 8.1 Pro and they were "pretty sure" I could play videos then. No way I was going to do that, another cost! So I called Microsoft and complained. He agreed you have to buy the $100 video package. I again said NO WAY- HOW CAN I DOWNGRADE TO WIN 7 Again AND GET A REFUND!! (I had already told him I wasn't really happy with 8.1 anyway)... without batting an eye (well, it didn't sound like he batted an eye anyway(something tells me it's not the first time he's heard this), he gives me an url where I can download a FREE media player! I did download it, installed it and its working fine. Problem solved. I can live with the other things I don't care for but I not with not being able to watch my movies. I watch movies and old TV shows that dh doesn't care for on my desktop. Gives me something to watch while he's watching things I don't care for.

Sleep eludes me, so here I am. Having trouble getting to sleep lately, and wake up and have trouble getting back to sleep. Not sure what is going on. Frustrating. And sometimes have weird dreams ~ not nightmarish, just kind of unsettling and not restful.

Got the two Christmas packages I needed to send ~ sent out yesterday. Didn’t have them both ready at the same time, so made two separate trips and spent ½ hour in line each time.

Today, gotta finish up the Christmas cards and get them sent out. I hadn’t sent any out in a long time ~ too tired, ran out of time ~ AKA procrastination. But I have time this year, so am getting some sent out.

Got what gifts I needed to wrap done. Now waiting for Sara to bring me what ever she needs wrapped. I enjoy doing it ~ while she doesn’t enjoy doing it as much, or have much time. So, I am glad to do that for her.

A high school classmate posted on Facebook wishing another classmate a happy birthday. He wrote: We're not getting older, we're getting better. It just hurts more. I thought that was cute.

Starting to get sleepy, so guess I’ll jump back under the covers and give it another whirl.

i'm doing last minute things, like watering, because it's hot, and we have the next week or so, mapped out for us. that's my fault because i sat DH down to help me write a xmas PLAN, inluding, job allocation, timing, shopping lists, etc. i don't know where the money's coming from but he's out working, trying to make as much as he can (casual work).

god knows what will happen when he has to pay tax. i don't even want to go there.

well i have some international swaps to do, some photo's to take, and some shopping to do. yuch about the shopping…everyone in the world is in the same shopp at once it seems, after driving into the same car space at the same time it seems.
