  • Hey everyone,

I don't have much to report. I did walk 7 miles yesterday and I had my class so I am a little sore today. I'm really missing eating summer fruit like cherries, peaches and plums etc. That helped my sweet tooth tremendously. Oh I haven't had any cravings lately so I am very thankful for that!

AilsaPearl - How are things going for you with your family and working out?

Steph7409 - What you said was eye opening for me. Maybe that's why some people in my life might not believe how I am losing weight just by working out and eating healthier because they see me eating cake, pizza and treats. What they don't realize how small the piece of cake is compared to before, I don't go for seconds and that I don't have ice cream with it. Or that I made a healthy salad to eat with my pizza and only had 2 small slices and had water with it compared to eating 4 slices of pizza, 2 breadsticks and a pop.

xRiotGirl - Nice! I'm impressed that it tastes that great without butter. I'm definitely going to keep my eyes open. Thanks!

GettinFit - Keep up the good work! I knew you could do it! Sending you good vibes!

Lakilaulea - I love my exercise class too. I missed a class last week and boy did I hear it from them last night! Hope you're feeling okay after your dentist appointment!

    Have a good day!
  • Sunnyside - WOW, no cravings That is awesome and I can't wait 'til I can say that again. You are doing a great job!

So far, so good for me today. I've stuck to my eating plan.

I hope everyone else is having a good day.
  • I'm jealous of you, no cravings!! I've been walking around like a zombie all day, just looking for things to snack on. I ate dinner...and I'm still looking for something to eat. I just ate dinner!! What the heck is going on Anyway, I'm sipping on some lemon lime seltzer water and trying to keep my mind busy in something else. Sigh.

One more week left, guys, let's make it a successful one!
  • xRiotGirl - Oh, I get the same way when I get cravings. And they're usually for weird things, like last week's pancakes, and last month's chocolate covered almonds... If I'm craving something sweet, I've got Special K. It's not even my favorite cereal, so sometimes I think, I'm not craving it enough. But when I am, that's my ol' standby. Usually keeps me good for a couple days LOL

Got home from work yesterday and was DETERMINED to do at least an hour of Tread Climber... And I did!!!

I also joined my first three competitions with my MOTOACTV and I'm actually in first place with one of them! Also, hopped on the scale today and I'm at my lowest yet at 216.6!! WOOHOO!!!

I'm pretty psyched up right now. I ate very well yesterday and have my meal planned out for today. Tonight is Tread Climber again and Aqua Fit.

Hope everyone else is having a super day!!
  • Mine is a general 'I want bad food' craving, lol. But I'm going to take that advice and just find one thing to have every time I feel the urge. The seltzer water actually worked really well last night, probably because I hate seltzer water but I didn't want to waste the can once I opened it, so all of my mind power was used up on trying to finish it haha

Congrats on having such a great day! I love when that happens Keep it up.
  • Hey guys!

I meant to say I didn't have cravings yesterday. Today is a different story. lol I would love to have some Jolly Ranchers. However I googled the calorie count this morning and for 3 small pieces it's 70 calories! SEVENTY! For three small pieces! OMG! I could eat like 20 in one sitting - that's what 210 calories?! I'm completely floored because I had no idea. Okay sorry for the dramatics. lol

Great job Lakilaulea! Such a good feeling! I wanted to do backwards flips when I got out of the 220's. I've been stuck between 217 - 222 for the last month, but inches are still melting off of me so I'm satisfied.

GettinFit - how are you feeling today?

    Have a great day everyone!
  • Good morning ladies,

Lakilaulea - Congratulations on making your all time low of 216.6

Sunnyside - I am feeling very good today. Yesterday went as planned and I am on my 3rd OP day. I had no idea Jolly Ranchers were so many calories either

I hope everyone else has a great OP day!

    My food plan for today
B: WW String cheese, coffee w/1/2 C skim milk, flavored creamer
L: RF Chicken & wild rice soup, 1 cornbread square, SF jello
D: Subway Sub w/lots of veggies, baked Lays
    S: popcorn,
    Exercise: Firm or WW Punch
  • Hey everyone! i've been quite busy the last few days which is good, no time to binge or sit around and "bored-eat" :P

sunny- things have been good! Thanks for asking. I am back to normal OP eating now that I'm at school!! that is awful about the jolly ranchers! that's why I just try to have gum around and refuse to let myself buy candy or else I will eat it all mindlessly in one sitting :P

Lakilaulea- congrats with the successful weigh in! isn't that amazing to look at the scale and see a number that's lower than you've ever seen? well I haven't seen any of those numbers in a LONG time haha but congrats!

gettin fit your plan looks good! good luck sticking to it. I don't have your willpower I feel like I eat 2x as much as you :P

October has been so busy at school for me. Lots of stuff to do and study for. I am glad to see November cause that means my birthday and a short break for Thanksgiving! My weight goal for October was to stay under 150lbs and I am gonna weigh in this weekend and hopefully I've stuck there

Good luck staying OP today ladies!!
  • It's great to see everyone doing so well!

My go-to when I start thinking about raiding the kitchen is Werther's sugar free cinnamon/caramel hard candies. The cinnamon sort of cuts the sweetness of the caramel so it's just right. I'm having one right now!

My eating is so-so but I'm doing well with exercise, so I'm maintaining. I'm still up a pound from the low I saw a week or so ago. I feel like this is my first real "regain" rather than just a bounce, but I'm glad that I'm keeping a lid on it so far. I think we're all scared at how easy it is to slip back into our old eating habits.

I did something stupid last weekend: I bought a popcorn popper, the kind you use on your stove that has a bar inside it that keeps the kernels moving so they don't burn (a whirlypop). I love popcorn, so every night I think about making a big bowl. I've done it only once, though. Not that popcorn is bad - but I like it dripping with butter and salt. I did buy a little kit that has 0-calorie spray "butter" and some powder toppings, like cheddar cheese. Tasty, but not the same as real butter!
  • I feel like the past few days my food intakes been kinda meh. Still staying under my calorie goal, and working out 45 mins a day (mostly cardio, and this is an upgrade from a month ago where I did no physical activity at all), so it's all good, but I just feel in general that I need to focus less on how much I am eating and more on WHAT I am eating now. I did switch to eating a salad for lunch every day, starting a week ago. And that is major! But I'm slipping back into 'eat until I'm stuffed' mode, very slowly, but very surely.

Good job on the progress, everyone! It looks like we're all having some success and feelin' good I love to see that, it really inspires me! Best of luck.
  • SunnySide99, GettinFit, AilsaPearl - Thanks, girls! You guys seriously motivate me! I started slipping last week, but checking in on this thread and seeing you guys doing such amazing things makes me want to continue doing amazing things!

xRiotGirl - I did that a little last week with the food. I made shrimp Pad Thai, which is my fave Thai dish and it was so easy to overeat that. I started getting that familiar full/heavy/stuffed/sleepy feeling after I was done and knew I needed to get that in check before I got used that again. When I think about it, it's such a yucky feeling to me, but something I'm so used to.

I ended up not doing Aqua Fit last night like I planned. I got a call from my baby sis who hardly calls and she was in a bad situation, so we ended up on the phone together for a while. I did do my Tread Climber, though. I did it for an hour to make up for missing class. Had another light dinner, so I think I did pretty good considering. Tonight I probably won't do anything at all because I have a doctor appointment that will probably leave me out of commission for the night. Hope everyone is sticking OP!
  • Good morning ladies,

AilsaPearl - I'm glad that being busy has helped you to avoid binging and mindless eating. It always help when you don't have time to think about food. Keep up the good work.

Steph - I love SF Werthers too. I'll have to try the cinnamon ones. Right now I have the Coffee flavored ones in my purse. I hope that one pound goes away so that you can see your new low again. You have done such a great job over the last year

xRiotGirl - It is motivating to see everyone trying so hard. I hope you can continue to make the positive changes that you're making. Hang in there.

Thanks Lakilaulea, you all motivate me too. I had a very bad week last week but by coming here and seeing how hard you ladies were trying, it motivated me to get my butt back in gear. I am happy to say that I'm working on my 4th day being back 100% OP and it feels great.

Yesterday I changed up my dinner menu. I was going to do Subway but when I went online to get the calories, it was a lot more than I wanted to use and the Sub I wanted had over 1000 mgs of sodium. Instead, I stopped at the supermarket and got a Healthy Choice dinner with half the sodium and only 330 calories. I did my Firm workout last night. I'm almost back to my low weight. Hopefully by the weekend I'll be back at 206.

I'm planning on having another OP day and I hope you all do too
  • Lakilaulea - Exactly that, it's more of a comfort thing to feel that way. But like you, it was coming here that kept me from falling in completely..and I'm back to normal now

GettinFit - Thank you for the good vibes!

Today I knew it would be hard to get a workout in with my sister home, so I had originally planned to do something small, but instead I just woke up a little earlier and did my full 45 min cardio before even starting the day. It was so nice just to have that done and out of the way... I also had planned to eat breakfast with my sister, so I planned to spend a few extra calories there eating some things like bacon and sausage that I wouldn't normally. There's always a nice feeling of accomplishment that comes with staying under your calorie goal but also getting to have a little fun with food
  • Great job xRiotGirl on getting up early for your workout and making your plan and sticking to it.

So far, I'm having a good day and am eating as planned. If feels so good to be back in control.
  • I feel like even though I'm sticking on plan and exercising I still feel "puffy" and fatty in my stomach and hip area worse than before. I am 5-10 lbs away from my goal and yet it feels so far away. I've been OP though so what else can I do. Just hoping I'm bloated and that I'll drop it if I keep sticking with it, but it's discouraging! Oh well. No other option that to keep plugging along.

    Happy almost Friday ladies!!
