Hi everyone! I wanted to post before I leave on my trip to Europe!

I am leaving tomorrow for almost 2 weeks. I will first be in Berlin at a conference and then vacationing in Croatia, so I won't be around much .... probably not for a week, and then sporadically.

So, don't forget to have someone start a new thread on Monday, and keep things tidy and play nice! (not that this is ever really a problem in our group!) I'll try to start up a new exercise thread before August rolls around. I'll be back Aug 3rd full time (but will be peeking in from time to time!)

Heather, I don't know, when people tell me to play nice, I usually get my silly string out.

Heather - hope you have a great trip.I believe Croatia is beautiful. Berlin is a fantastic city, they do love their meat though! I remember me and husband ordering a dish for two people and there was no veg apart from a few peas!

Im having a big treat today, going out for lunch to a place that does beautiful salads! They also do amazing cakes but I will avoid them for sure. I shall only inhale the delicious smell!

Turns out, my flight leaves 2 1/2 hours LATER than I thought today. I have time to clean the house a bit more (I don't want my inlaws, who will be taking care of the dogs, to know how slobby we are!)

Good Sunday Morning,
The bikers are leaving town...you can hear the constant hum of the bikes. I really dont think we had nearly as many bikers as normal. I guess gas prices got to them as well as everyone else.Im sure the heat didnt help matters either.
The baby shower was fun....the mom to be is HUGE. I really could tell she was exhausted by the time she finished opening all the presents. Her twins are due in a month. She got more stuff than I have ever seen anyone get! But she will sure need it all with twins! I did good with the food there and had a tiny peice of cake.
Daughter had a friend from college come over yesterday afternoon and we went blackberry picking.I think we got about a gallon. I also got 2 ticks!! It was so hot out there and we walked about a mile in all. I came home and made a huge cobler. I even treated myself to a small peice. I am not use to sweets and felt sick after eating it!! NOTE to self...its not worth feeling sick over!!!

heather_ enjoy your trip. We will try to behave while your gone.

sara _ hope the salad was wonderful! I wish i had just enjoyed the smell of the cobler cooking and not ate it. My house smelled wonderful!

catherine_ when will himself be home?? I know you will be glad to have him around again(even if he does make a mess).

Debi, glad to hear the baby shower went well! I cant imagine having to care for twins though! One can be hard enough at times!

We went out much later than planned in the end.Our little one was having a nap and decided to drive bomb off our bed onto his face! Hes end up with a slightly swollen lip and little bruise on the cheek. Hes fine though and gummed his way through my bread roll! Mummy and daddy more upset than him!

Salad was delicious! Cakes smelt good too Husband wasnt too excited to go but in the end even he said it was the best he has ever had! Result!

He got home safe and sound last night, and I sure am tired this morning. The bag that was full of so neatly folded clothing came back in a manner that reminded me of unpacking the boys' stuff after boy scout camp outs. At least his stuff didn't come home wet. Good Grief.

Buffalo as wonderful and we had a lovely trip to Niagara Falls. My great aunt was so touched that we were all there, and aside from me being terribly worried about my dad and his stubbornness and his health it was delightful and Jason also had fun.

Just a few random thoughts...

M'Chelle...I'm personally not an advocate of weighing myself daily...it's a great way to go slowly nuts always wondering why you are up when you have been so "good". A weekly weigh in give you a much more accurate picture of your average progress for the week. Try for same time, same place and same setting...not a parka and jeans and boots one week and your skivvies the next.

Carol...Mexican food...for me it's grilled chicken fajitas and I very clearly specify 'VERY LITTLE OIL' and I get it with a plate of lettuce instad of rice and beans...then I load up on salsa and make a salad with the chicken and veggies.

Luan...is the Gazelle still up for grabs?

Nothing else right now...have to grab a shower and wash off the travel dust.
