I went to the doctor last week, I was feeling a little run down and tired, I noticed that my blood pressure was running low. He took me off one of my blood pressure medicines and wants to see me back next month, He thinks he may have to reduce the second medication. WooHoo!

Sharon - I have always found that bathingsuit sizes are not consistent to clothing. Even at my heaviest I could still fit into the largest size of regular sized speedos. I think it's just the stretch. Plus you know if you don't buy it tight it ends up HUGE in no time once the chlorine & sun get to it! lol

Yesterday I went to the first of a one month twice a week bootcamp class. There is only 3 of us in the class & only 2 of us last night so it is pretty much like personal training. Well, Sarah, (the trainer) kicked my a*$!!! I felt like crying & vomitting but I finished & felt wonderfully exhausted afterwards. Today every inch of my body hurts but I'm looking forward to going again tomorrow - if this doesn't get me into shape nothing will!

This morning I started a cleanse that will finish up just before we go on our vacation. I'm hoping to leave for the vacation feeling rejuvinated & full of energy!

I bought a pair of size 22 jeans (Kmart, Route 66, boot cut SHORT) when I got my tax return in March. They didn't fit & I cried. Instead of returning them, I knew they would fit eventually & kept them.

I needed to go somewhere with my mom Saturday, and instead of calling first, she honked the horn in my driveway. I grabbed the first pair I could find. I pulled them on & realized they were the too-small pair. But they went all the way up my thighs!! I buttoned them by jumping only once & zipped them w/o having to lie down.

I am now wearing them to work.

I did my yoga dvd last night...w/ many modifications, but I did it! I was so proud of myself for doing it. Today, my shoulders are sore in places that are never sore after my gym workouts! Sounds like I should do it more often!

It's been a few days since I've been to the forum, and I probably love the NSV thread more than any other. No one's noticed my weight loss yet (including my husband), and I'm really looking forward to sharing stories similar to Robin's and Mrs. Q's. In time...

I just finished a huge work project and went way off plan. I slept about five total hours in three nights, ate only one small meal a day, and did not do any exercise (other than running up and down the stairs to the bathroom - I drink a LOT of water when I'm under deadline pressure). I actually lost a pound, though I was too focused on the project to have any weight-related goals, but I completely beat up my body. I did, however, make the deadline - and earned the money I needed to pay some unexpected medical expenses for my daughter (they would not do surgery until I had provided the portion not covered by medical insurance!)

So, my NSV for today is that I am back on plan! I am eating nutritious food regularly, went for my daily swim today, plan on going for my walk later, and slept about ten hours last night! It was a little tougher than I thought it would be to go back on plan, but I feel so much better about life when I'm there.

Tonight my middle daughter will be graduating from high school. Yay!!!

We've gone through lots of these, 3 elemantary school and one high school graduation. I used to spend so much time worrying and dreading these things. What horrible outfit will I wear? How will I fit in that tiny stupid seat? Who's the unfortunate soul that will have to sit next to me, cause I'll be using up lots of THEIR space? Who will have to pass me in the aisles, and how will they get through? Then of course there's all the dreaded socializing, who the heck wanted to fact all those teachers and parents and students in my horrible condition.

Well for the first time I am soooo very excited and have been looking forward to it all year actually. I can't WAIT to see everyone and interact with them.

My biggest worry this time - which one of the numerous drop dead gorgeous outfits that I now have shall I put on tonight? Oh the worries of being - average.

I've been losing weight for about 3 months now. My kids can tell that I'm getting smaller, but nobody else has said much. Until today...a temp that has filled in here, is working down the hall. She dropped by to say hi and to get some help. When I got up from behind my desk to help her..she went: "WOW! You've lost weight!" Made me fell so good! She also asked me who does my hair, that she likes the cut.
Little things can provide the greatest inspiration!

I fell off track a couple months back and have been back on the loosing end (I love being on the loosing end... ) for about 3 weeks, and today was the first time someone noticed actually two someones... the first said .. " wow, you´re getting skinnier and skinnier" and the other one was "you´re disapearing.." both exagerated comments, I know, but still it felt great !!

I remembered to bring my water bottle to work today - I've been super forgetful on this lately & there is no drinking water at work so without it I'm screwed.

I realized today that it has been almost a year since I lost 30lbs & yes that is stuck for a long time (& there are a couple of things that should have sent it moving up) but I have maintained the loss remarkably easily for that year. I've gone up a couple pounds & then quickly brought it back down again. Although it would be much more ideal to be losing this weight a lot faster I think this is an important skill I have finally learned that will help me with maintenance not just at this weight but at my goal weight as well.

I sent a letter to my favourite outdoor store complaining about the fact that in their sizing chart they show size 20/22 for women but they don't seem to actual carry any clothing in that size (or 16/18 for that matter). I never would have done this before as I was always so embarassed to need that size.

I'm so excited, I went to the Dr's this morning. Last Saturday, I had some bloodwork done (cholesterol, liver function, glucose, and a bunch of other general heath type stuff).

Anyways, two years ago in July my total cholesterol was 215. Today, it's 144. HDL is 42 (good cholesterol, 40 and over is what the Dr wants). LDL is 87 (wants less than 130). Triglycerides today are 74 (wants under 150).

My fasting glucose was 79 (wants between 65-99).

Everything else that they tested for (that I've got no idea what means what, the other stuff I've got some clues) was within normal ranges.

I'm pretty sure that 70 pounds ago I would have had much different results.

I've been on vacation for a few days but congrats to everyone on the wonderful NSVs.

I went to Daytona Beach, I spent most of my time on the beach in a bathing suit. I wasn't self-conscious at all. I walked to the main strip from the hotel twice a day (.5 miles each way) and swam spent a lot of time swimming in the ocean. I was disappointed that the hotel didn’t have a fitness center but I think I made up for it. I made good choices with my food and didn’t drink too much!

Lastly totally not weight related but I got my grades for school finally (they were due June 1 and my finals were done in the beginning of May). I did well, actually very well. I got a partial scholarship for next year and induction into the dean’s honor society (this is a huge deal because you attend all sorts of functions where you meet alumni and prospective employers and they work really hard to get them jobs at big firms).

Even though I was sore from Tuesdays workout I went back to the gym yesterday (it's kind of a semi-private personal training session) & did another grueling workout. These really are the 2 hardest workouts I think I have ever done in my life but I feel really good about it.

Does anyone else noticed that when they exercise their appetite decreases?

Also, only 2 weeks until my vacation!!!! I can't wait!
