Oh, don't you worry! I will be there! We have put our foot (feet) down and are not going. They really need to leave us alone though. At least FIL didn't mention it while he was over here earlier.

Off to dinner now ... FIL wanted to go back home so it's just the two of us. I can't decide but am hungry. (Not a good thing ... this could be dangerous.)

Kathy, come on over for some Core sloppy joes and oven fries. I could even let you in since the house is clean! Well, almost all clean.....

Ooops....forgot you don't eat meat. Boy that would be an impossible challenge in this house.

Kathy, I'll never understand why relatives pull in both directions. Jim has no family so we pretty much spend holidays with my family. It sure does make things easier. That and not having kids.

Rhonda, you're right. It's really much better not to put it into our mouths in the first place. You have a great evening with your friend. I've learned with Cindy that we must appreciate every day we have. Life is way too short.

We have started back with a little meat a few times a week. It was a nice dinner, and we both decided we should get back on the horse tomorrow. I need to lose my 7 (was 142 this morning but I'm not changing the ticker until Monday) by the birthday so that I can at least eat some cake, and then we'll behave until Christmas when all the family is here.

I think I will make a cake like the one you posted for your anniversary. I have recipes for white sponge cake, Bavarian cream, raspberry puree, and butter cream icing ... have the cake leveler and all tips. Since I've done cake decorating in the past, I pretty much know all the secrets to making a filled cake. We're still deciding on whether we will have a party here or go somewhere.

Is there nothing that you can't do? Sheesh. I'd not dream of making a cake like that. My specialty is Carrot Cake with cream cheese frosting from scratch...even the cake. I haven't made it in a million years. I'm really craving great desserts this last week. I was really tempted to make my chocolate chip pecan cookies but I knew I'd eat them all with Jim right at my elbow. Not good for either one of us.

I'm here! I've just been busy today. Been cleaning the house and working on a paper for school.
We're headed to bed now. It's going to be a long day tomorrow. Church and then I have a show tomorrow night. Plus I need to do more school work.


Kathy, I forgot to say thanks for posting your shrimp pasta recipe. I am going to try it, maybe this week.
