  • Yesssss!!!
    I FINALLY recieved my Turbo Jam on Friday...I was so excited, I did it friday night!! I did the Learn & Burn and the 20min workout!
    I did the Learn & Burn again on Saturday morning too!! I really like it!! I can't wait until I have all the moves down really good, so that I can flow right through it!
    Let me tell ya, it kicked my butt too b/c i'm really sore today!! AWESOME!!!
  • Thanks everyone for your replies. You guys are right I'm being impatient. I keep forgetting I'm older now and weight loss doesn't come as fast as it used to. OK, I'm hanging in there. Also in defense to myself, I don't eat everything in sight on weekends, I just allow myself any type of dinner I want and a dessert, and usually I have my dinner around lunch and am full for the rest of the day. But I'm going to keep hanging in there, so thanks for the support.
  • Can't find discount?
    Hi, I am new to the board and appreciate all your feedback about TurboJam. Am ready to give it a try but the link for the 20 percent discount isn't giving me a discount. When I go to fill out the order, it comes up regular price and even has a space where it asks for "discounts or coupons" what do I enter here? I agree the price is a bit steep but sounds like I would love it.

    P.S. To those whose scale doesn't budge despite exercise, wanted to share with you that when I began drinking diet sodas and Crystal Lite, it actually stalled my metabolism and I began gaining weight like crazy. Just blew up. This has happened twice and each time I eliminate the aspartame, saccharine, etc. the weight melts off. This goes for Sucralose too. I had read that artificial sweeteners are not the answer but never believed it til I had such problems with them. Not saying they aren't for some people, but if your scale isn't budging or you notice you are always hungry, eliminate these and see what happens. A doctor told me in some people aspartame actually prevents your fat cells from properly metabolizing or burning fat no matter what else you are doing. I simply dropped my total carb count to around 100-150 and still lost weight.
  • I am anxiously waiting for mine to come......they shipped it on the 16th and I get a tracking number from USPS that says "Your item was picked up by a shipping partner at 4:00 am on January 24, 2006 in SAN FERNANDO, CA 91340. Information, if available, is updated every evening. Please check again later. " and that's it!!!
    They need to hurry up so I can jam!
  • Hey there matahari, I am at work right now but just let me go home for lunch and I will get you the 20% off code that came with my TJ Set... I'm not gonna buy anymore so someone should have them. By the way, I noticed the same thing about the diet sweeteners... only I also had a freakish week long panic attack and it took me that long to figure out that it was the sweet n low that was doin it to me!
  • They are no longer taking the 20% CDRom discount or the DVDSERT discount which I believe was 10% as of January 30, 2006. I posted it under fitness but forgot to post it here too.

    Thank you for sharing that regarding the diet pop. I have sOOOO wondered that - I drink Diet Root Beer once a day but have been cutting it down a lot and if I do drink a pop - it's the Cherry 7UP plus that has splenda in it. Maybe that is why my scale started to go down finally after 3 years!!!! It is so weird because I have been trying to figure out what it could that is stopping my weightloss - I finally just thought that it just took my body 3 years of concentrating really hard to lose - HA - I'm going to try and cut it out all together and see what happens.

    Now if I could just cut the gas station white chocolate caramel cappucino's - I am so addicted but I usually only get two a week and divide the 20 oz into two days so that I can have some four days. Make sense??? I told my husband yesterday that I have no willpower - I had the flu last week and went without a cappucino for a week but my vehicle just drove me straight to the gas station yesterday morning . . . he said yes you do, you drink only half - that is willpower. LOL

  • I don't have the Turbo Jam set, but I was thinking about buying the Turbo Jam Live tapes... Any suggestions or comments? Would that be a bad idea?

    I like the Live ones but not as much as the first ones. I also like that the lives are only 30 minutes. They are more fast paced so if you are just starting out exercising, I would for sure get the set before the lives. If you are already doing workouts like Billy Blank's boot camp, then you should be okay. I personally would get the set first. You can always sell the ones you don't want on ebay or there are a few sites that trade or swap.

  • First a comment for Dreamer85, then a question for everyone.

    Dreamer85, did your mom finally change her mind? My mom used to say the same thing, that walking was all the exercise you needed. Unfortunately, she's paying now for her lack of exercise, because she's in her 70's and she has severe osteoporosis, partly from never doing any strength training. Walking is great, but it's just not enough all by itself.

    For those of you who've done TJ, could you tell me more about the music? I like something that's got a bit of melody occasionally, not just a beat. And I hate it when they repeat the exact same music all through a tape--it gets annoying. So can anyone tell me more about the TJ music? Is it repetitious or is there variety? I'd like as much detail as anyone cares to give. The music is always a really big factor in whether I end up using a tape or not, no matter how good the workout is.
  • Margarita, no unfortunately she didn't change her mind. I've been doing some exercise, mostly cardio at a gym that I just started going to. And it isn't so bad, but sometimes I just don't believe that I'm pushing myself as much as I should be. Or if I'm even doing anything effective.

    One of the reasons I love the fitness videos is because with the instructor there you at least know what you're supposed to do and how to do it if that makes sense. You know what is a good enoug work out or what can be effective.

    I'll have to see what happens either way. I've seen some Turbo Jam tapes on ebay and other sites but I figure I might as weel order it from BeachBodies.com because it feels a little more legit. Do you think the program will ever get cheaper?

    What about the other tapes in the Turbo Delux package, I believe its cardio Jam 2, and maybe a buns video? I wish you could pick the videos you wanted, or just get the learn and burn and not the entire set. :/
  • The 20% codes that come in the mail with TJ or other BeachBody workouts, should work. I think the TJ one is SERTTJ also have KSSERT , which came in my Project You set. Hopefully one of those will work. You just put it in the box for codes, if it is not working it will say before it goes any through.
  • So far i have been doing the turbo jam videos since december i like the workouts but ive been trying to find a good balance between cardio abs and toning, does anyone has any suggestion because three a day at almost two hours is just becoming two tiring

    I burnt myself out exercising 55 to 70 minutes 5 - 6 days a week - I can NOT imagine working out two hours every day. How many days are you doing this? Are you seeing results?

    My first suggestion would be to give your body a break from the toning - unless you are only doing a couple of body parts one day and a couple of different ones the next. It is recommended a lot by many different people that you give your muscles a rest. IE - work the biceps and chest one day, triceps and back the next, etc.

    If you are using the TJ tapes only, I would do a cardio workout one day and a toning one the next (or add on the 20 minute TJ with the toning if you want more cardio and the TJ abs with the cardio if you want more toning with the cardio workouts).

    Example:
    Monday - Cardio Party and TJ Abs;
    Tuesday - Booty Sculpt and 20 Minute TJ;
    Wednesday - Cardio Party Mix 2 and TJ Abs;
    Thursday - Turbo Sculpt and 20 Minute TJ or Lower Body Sculpt;
    Friday - Cardio Party Remix and TJ Abs or Lower Body Sculpt if not used the day before;
    Saturday - OFF;
    Sunday - 20 Minute TJ and TJ Abs.

    I find with TJ that I am able to burn a lot of calories in the 30-40 minute workouts. If I were to do 2 hours of Turbo Jam, I would burn out fast from it even though it's a workout I absolutely love. And that would be a sad thing.

    Hope this helps. I should follow this myself - I just do one workout a night although I sometimes add the TJ 20 Minute with the sculpting ones. I add in Yoga Booty Ballet one day a week and I do Jari Love Get Ripped one or two times a week for weights.

  • thanks Rachelle actually my schedule has been looking like
    Monday - cardio party 2 - ab jam - lower body sculpt
    Tuesday - cardio party mix 1 - ab jam - turbo sculpt
    Wednesday - cardio party 2 - ab jam - lower body sculpt
    Thursday - cardio party mix 1 - ab jam - turbo sculpt
    Friday - cardio party 2 - ab jam - lower body sculpt
    Saturday - cardio party mix 1 - ab jam - turbo sculpt
    Sunday - off

    i know that is way to much, i want to do abs everyday and as much cardio as possiblt but i think ur right about alternating the toning days just to get some kind of break
  • Rachelle thanks to your suggestion this is what i came up with for my new schedule still 6 days m- sat sundays off but this way
    M - CARDIO PARTY 1 - TJ AB JAM
    T - CARDIO PARTY 20 MIN - BOOTY SCULPT + ABS
    W - CARDIO PARTY 2 - TJ AB JAM
    TH - CARDIO PARTY 20 MIN - TJ TURBO SCULPT
    F - CARDIO PARTY REMIX - TJ AB JAM
    SA - CARDIO PARTY 20 MIN - LOWER SCULPT
    SU - OFF

    I figure this way i keep the lower body sculpting routing far away from each other and keep the scupting routing paired with the 20 min cardio so i can give the most effort to both routines. Here goes nothing btw what's Jari Lov get ripped never heard of it. and as for results, ive dropped two pants sizes, its not the results its the wear and tear i spent a month following the tj calendar and a month following my 3workout a day 6 days a week this last month was way harder than the first but i lost more the first because i could give a better effort each day because i wasn't as tired or sore, so i felt it was time for a change and a new cycle.
